The 2018 Ao Dai Festival was organized by the Department of Tourism, the City Women's Union in coordination with other departments and localities with the desire to elevate the value and uniqueness of the Vietnamese Ao Dai to a new level.At the timeThursdayHeld with 11 image ambassadors in many different fields, the Festival has brought to a large number of tourists as well as the people of the City a series of attractive and meaningful activities, contributing to honoring the beauty of the Ao Dai and helping to improve knowledge and understanding of the traditional Ao Dai.
The Ao Dai gymnastics performance took place on Nguyen Hue walking street with the participation of 3,000 people of different ages to convey the message "Inspiring the love of Vietnamese Ao Dai".
The art program "Ao Dai - Applied Fashion Trends in 2018" with the participation of many famous designers and many tourism agencies and businesses is also a remarkable event to contribute to bringing Ao Dai closer to daily life.
In particular, the Ao Dai Charm contest, although held for the first time,Thursdaybut still attracted the participation of many people and collective units.
In addition, there are other activities such as the Forum of Vietnamese Ao Dai Beauty, Talk show inspiring Ao Dai among young people, Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange "Ao Dai and Tsumami Fabric Flowers" or Discussion "History of Vietnamese Ao Dai". Besides, the Organizing Committee also gave away more than 6,000 Ao Dai to many female workers living and working in Ho Chi Minh City.
After nearly 1 month of taking place, more than 100,000 people have come to the Festival events. The Festival has truly become an annual event that many people look forward to. The Festival is held in suburban areas, to schools; the Festival is extended to residential communities with many competitions and forums about Ao Dai.
Interestingly, with the forum Ao Dai in modern life organized by the City Women's Cultural House in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center, many opinions from the public and guests have ordered the contents of the 2019 City Ao Dai Festival with ideas such as organizing an Ao Dai design contest for high school boys; organizing a festival of fabrics with suitable materials to make Ao Dai corresponding to different professions... have received the agreement of many people and many genders. Thereby, it shows that the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival not only creates value for the public to enjoy, but on the contrary, the public also wants to participate in creating an Ao Dai festival.
