Giang Mo village, Binh Thanh commune, Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, is known as a poor village with over one hundred Muong ethnic minority households facing difficult circumstances. Understanding the hardships of the people here, Lotte Hotel Hanoi launched a campaign for all its staff to donate old clothes, blankets, and mattresses, and also encouraged the recycling of used soap bars from hotel guests to send to the local people.
Over the course of more than a week, all 450 employees of Lotte Hotel Hanoi joined hands to donate over 30 boxes of gifts including used clothes, blankets, and essential items such as rice, instant noodles, biscuits, and milk to send to people in Binh Thanh commune. The essential items will be handed directly to the five most disadvantaged families in the commune, while the clothes and blankets will be left with the local government and commune management board to be distributed to each family.
During the "Warm Spring in the Highlands" charity trip, staff from Lotte Hotel Hanoi also visited Binh Thanh Primary School to donate recycled soap and meaningful gifts to the students, and instructed them on proper handwashing techniques to protect their health.
At the end of the trip, the memories of the bright smiles of the children in Giang Mo village left a deep impression on the members of the charity group. The trip was not only an opportunity to bring a warm and happy spring to families in difficult circumstances, but also a motivation for Lotte Hotel Hanoi to continue organizing more meaningful programs for the community.
