Inspired by the legend of King Arthur, *The Legend of King Arthur: The Sword in the Stone* takes audiences back to the turbulent Dark Ages in late 5th-century England. After Arthur's father is assassinated, Vortigern (played by Jude Law), Arthur's uncle, seizes the throne and rules the kingdom with cruelty and terror. Unaware of his royal lineage, Arthur grows up in poverty in the city's slums. Unbeknownst to him, one day he is the only one who can pull the legendary sword Excalibur from the stone and usurp Vortigern's reign.

The film follows King Arthur on his adventure from the streets to his throne. Armed with the magical sword Excalibur, he must quell the forces of demons and monsters before he can unite the country. Set to the haunting music of Led Zeppelin's "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You," the latest trailer teases audiences with many spectacular and breathtaking action sequences.


The role of King Arthur is played by the handsome actor Charlie Hunnam.
Guy Ritchie, the director who made a strong impression with The Man From UNCLE, will bring his vibrant filmmaking style to this fantastical adventure story about King Arthur. Charlie Hunnam, the handsome actor who achieved success with roles in Pacific Rim and Son of Anarchy, will play the legendary King Arthur. He will be joined by actors Jude Law, Eric Bana, Djimon Hounsou, and Aiden Gillen.

The Legend of King Arthur: The Sword in the Stone is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 12, 2017.
