Recently, the People's Committee of Kon Plong district announced an exciting news, Kon Tum province has just officially approved the policy of developing 1 million cherry blossom trees in Mang Den town. This is not just a simple tree planting project, but a strategic step to create landscape, promote tourism and orient the development of Mang Den to become a unique and attractive "cherry blossom town".
Mang Den, with its year-round cool climate and unspoiled natural beauty, has long been a favorite destination for many tourists. However, with this new policy, Mang Den will be "transformed", wearing a new, brilliant coat.
Mang Den is witnessing the tireless efforts of the local government and people to turn this place into a "cherry blossom town".
One million cherry blossom trees - an impressive number, enough to turn Mang Den into a "kingdom" of this flower. When spring comes, the whole town will be filled with the pink color of cherry blossoms, creating a beautiful and romantic scene. Visitors will be immersed in the poetic space, enjoy the fresh air and admire the pure beauty of this typical flower.
Not only stopping at creating landscape, the cherry blossom development project also aims to promote tourism. With its unique and attractive beauty, Mang Den promises to attract more and more domestic and foreign tourists. Tourists come here not only to see flowers, but also to explore traditional cultural values, enjoy special dishes and experience interesting tourist activities.
Mang Den aims to plant 1 million cherry blossom trees
According to Mr. Pham Van Thang - Vice Chairman of Kon Plong District People's Committee, in recent years, Mang Den town has welcomed thousands of tourists during the cherry blossom season. This not only promotes local tourism development, but also helps people earn extra income from accompanying activities such as entertainment, sightseeing, relaxation...
“This year’s Tet coincides with the cherry blossom season, Mang Den town has welcomed about 230,000 visitors with estimated revenue of 80 billion VND. In the coming time, the district government and tourism businesses will coordinate with local people to actively plant more cherry blossoms in many locations in the town. In particular, focusing on the town’s main roads, parks, squares and public spaces,” Mr. Thang emphasized.
This not only promotes local tourism development, but also helps people earn extra income from accompanying activities such as entertainment, sightseeing, and relaxation.
Up to now, the entire Mang Den town has planted about 400,000 cherry blossom trees. In addition to tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants, community tourism villages... are all covered in the pink color of cherry blossoms. Therefore, the goal of planting 1 million cherry blossom trees in the near future is completely feasible.
Kon Plông district leaders said that for many years now, the district's Agricultural Service Center has been self-cultivating and providing cherry blossom seedlings to plant in public places and for people and businesses.
Cherry blossoms are considered a symbol and tourist attraction to Mang Den.
With this policy, the cherry blossom growing area can be expanded to mountainous areas, barren hills around town, and in people's gardens.
The results from the experimental planting phase have proven extremely important and promising that the climate and soil conditions of Mang Den are completely suitable for the growth and development of cherry blossom trees.
The excellent adaptation of cherry blossoms to Mang Den has opened up a great opportunity to organize the annual cherry blossom festival. This festival is not only an opportunity for visitors to admire the brilliant beauty of the typical flower, but also an opportunity to promote the image, attract tourists to visit and explore Mang Den.
