In observance of International Museum Day on May 18th, with the 2022 theme being "The Power of Museums," several museums nationwide have announced that they will waive admission fees, allowing visitors to visit for free on the day.

According to information from the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, on May 18th, visitors can enjoy a free tour introducing the culture of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups at the museum, during two time slots: 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Also on this day, visitors have the opportunity to experience traditional Southeast Asian games as part of the "Joining SEA Games 31" activities, such as: Thai three-cornered tug-of-war, Lao marble rolling, Myanmar rubber band searching, and the Philippines river crossing... At the same time, the Museum's social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram also display many unique Southeast Asian artifacts, through which visitors can learn about the similarities and differences in the cultures of countries in the region.

Besides the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, the National Museum of History and the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History have also announced free admission for visitors wishing to explore and learn. The National Museum of History is open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM at 1 Trang Tien Street/216 Tran Quang Khai Street (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi). The Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History is open from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 2 Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, Ben Nghe Ward (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).
