French Cuisine Festival in Vietnam

On March 21, 2017, at the French Embassy (Hanoi) and the French Consulate General (Ho Chi Minh City), the French Food Festival (Gout de France - Good France) will take place.

With the same menu taking place on the same day in many cities around the world, the French Gastronomy Festival is an international event attracting about 150 countries, with more than 2,000 chefs from around the world expected to participate in introducing their menus.

In Vietnam, 24 restaurants from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hue have registered to participate in the event. Among them are famous French restaurants such as Le Bordeaux, L'Annamite, Le Cobalt, Le Corto, La Villa, Pixel, L'Olivier, Vatel training school... The participating units will prepare French-style meals with a menu in the following order: appetizers and bread, appetizers, main courses, cheese, desserts, wine and French champagne.

 

In Ho Chi Minh City, the French Consulate General will coordinate with a number of universities with joint French culinary training programs such as: Vatel University (France) and Hoa Sen University; Cergy Pontoise University (France) and University of Technology to create conditions for students to learn about the program and listen to alumni sharing about the culinary and restaurant fields.

 

Initiated and organized for the first time in 2015 by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, the French Gastronomy Festival has become an annual activity familiar to the public who love cuisine every spring. The theme of this year's festival revolves around vocational training in restaurants, hotels and tourism through connecting schools and students around the world.
