09/04/2018

The 2018 Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures Day will take place from April 19-24 with the theme "Ethnic cultural identity contributes to building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development," and will summarize 10 years of implementing Decision No. 1668/QD-TTg dated November 17, 2008, of the Prime Minister on "Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures Day," at the Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures and Tourism Village (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi).

The festival was attended by 270 artisans and people from 30 ethnic groups representing various ethnic groups and regions.

The National Ethnic Culture Night program is the highlight of the event, featuring performances showcasing the rich cultural identity of Vietnam's ethnic groups and celebrating their cultural heritage. Alongside this are many other rich and attractive activities such as: ethnic and regional cultural festivals; an exhibition commemorating 10 years of the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day; and a conference summarizing 10 years of implementing the Prime Minister's Decision on the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day.
