Beauty Tran Thi Thu Ngan crowned Miss Vietnamese Identity

On the outdoor stage at the East-West Square of the FLC Sam Son Eco-tourism Resort Complex (Thanh Hoa), Tran Thi Thu Ngan surpassed 38 contestants present at the final night to step up to the title of Miss of the global beauty contest.

Tran Thi Thu Ngan was born in 1996 in Hai Phong, currently a student majoring in hotel management in Switzerland. The reigning Miss has a well-proportioned body with a height of 1.70m, measurements of 78-59-92. Before winning the Miss title, Thu Ngan won the Miss Photogenic award in the world semi-final night held in Quy Nhon.

Tran Thu Ngan was crowned Miss Vietnamese Global Identity 2016.

The total prize value that Tran Thi Thu Ngan received was a crown and 500 million VND in cash. In addition, the new Miss was also awarded a trip to Europe with a relative and signed a contract to be the brand ambassador of FLC Group for 2 years.

The first and second runner-up titles of Miss Vietnam Identity respectively belonged to Pham Thuy Hang (Candidate No. 078) and Quynh Giao Vo (Candidate No. 016). The prizes for these two titles are 200,000 million VND in cash and a trip to Europe with family for the first runner-up and 100,000 million VND in cash and a trip to Europe with family for the second runner-up.

On the evening of August 7, more than 2,000 spectators flocked to the outdoor stage area of ​​the FLC Sam Son resort complex (Thanh Hoa) to watch the final night of Miss Vietnam Global Identity 2016. The first final night of Miss Vietnam Global Identity was broadcast live on VTV1 - Vietnam Television. The final night was hosted by MC Anh Tuan and Miss Tourism Ngoc Diem.

During the more than 2 hours of the program, the audience watched 39 contestants (including 26 domestic contestants and 13 contestants of Vietnamese origin returning from regions around the world) go through the Ao Dai performance, swimsuit performance, evening gown performance and the behavioral competition with the judges. Through the competitions, the judges selected the Top 20, Top 10 and finally the Top 5 best contestants to enter the final behavioral round. In addition to the Miss and the two runners-up, the two other contestants with the highest scores of the competition in the top 5 were: Pham Thi Ngoc Quy and Nguyen Thi Dieu Duy.

The official jury of the first year of the global competition includes: Poet Hong Thanh Quang (Head of the jury), Painter Thanh Chuong, Choreographer Tran Ly Ly, Miss World Vietnam 2007 Ngo Phuong Lan, Journalist Dang Diem Quynh. The final night also featured experts and honored guests including Miss Intercontinental 2012 Daniel Chalbaud, Doctor of Anthropometry Vu Thi Thu Huong, Master of Psychology Ly Thi Mai and the head of the competition's advisory board, Mrs. World runner-up Thu Huong. In addition, the competition also received the support of two special experts from the US: Catwalk expert Kevin Parker and Choreographer Daquan Smith.

The final night left a strong impression on the audience watching live on stage. After many days of practicing at FLC Quy Nhon and FLC Sam Son (Thanh Hoa), most of the contestants appeared with confidence on the grand stage, with captivating music, singers' performances linked to the program's developments and especially in a unique performance space right next to the sunny and windy beach.

Along with the performances of 39 contestants, the final night brought performances by many singers and artists specially choreographed for the program such as: Duc Tuan with the song "Want to hear the sound of the waves"; Ai Phuong with "I see yellow flowers on green grass"; Hien Thuc with "I am a star"; Noo Phuoc Thinh with "Wanna be a star" and Ionah show "Nature's Symphony"

Immediately after the final night, the Organizing Committee, the Jury, the new Miss, the 1st Runner-up and the 2nd Runner-up met and talked with the press. Many questions were raised to the Miss, the 1st Runner-up, the 2nd Runner-up as well as the Organizing Committee and the Jury, and all were answered appropriately.

Miss Vietnam Global Identity 2016 has ended with many good impressions from the public for the first national and global beauty contest held, starting from March 2016. This contest is organized by FLC Samson Golf & Resort Company Limited. The contest is expected to take place every two years.
