On the outdoor stage at the East-West Square of the FLC Sam Son Eco-tourism Resort Complex (Thanh Hoa), Tran Thi Thu Ngan surpassed 38 contestants in the final night to be crowned Miss in the global beauty pageant.
Tran Thi Thu Ngan was born in 1996 in Hai Phong and is currently a hotel management student in Switzerland. The reigning Miss Vietnam has a well-proportioned figure with a height of 1.70m and measurements of 78-59-92. Before winning the Miss Vietnam title, Thu Ngan won the Miss Photogenic award in the semi-final round held in Quy Nhon.

Tran Thu Ngan was crowned Miss Vietnamese Identity Global 2016.
The total prize value that Tran Thi Thu Ngan received included the crown and 500 million VND in cash. In addition, the new Miss Vietnam was also awarded a trip to Europe with one family member and signed a contract to be the brand ambassador for FLC Group for two years.
The titles of First and Second Runner-up of Miss Vietnam National Identity went to Pham Thuy Hang (Contestant No. 078) and Quynh Giao Vo (Contestant No. 016), respectively. The prizes for these two positions were 200 million VND in cash and a trip to Europe with family for the First Runner-up, and 100 million VND in cash and a trip to Europe with family for the Second Runner-up.

On the evening of August 7th, over 2,000 spectators flocked to the outdoor stage area of the FLC Sam Son resort complex (Thanh Hoa) to watch the grand finale of Miss Vietnamese Identity Global 2016. The first-ever Miss Vietnamese Identity Global finale was broadcast live on VTV1 – Vietnam Television. The finale was hosted by MC Anh Tuan and Miss Tourism Ngoc Diem.

Over the course of the more than two-hour program, the audience watched 39 contestants (including 26 domestic contestants and 13 Vietnamese contestants returning from around the world) participate in the traditional dress, swimsuit, and evening gown segments, as well as the Q&A round with the judges. Through these segments, the judges selected the Top 20, Top 10, and finally the Top 5 most outstanding contestants to advance to the final Q&A round. Besides the Miss and two runners-up, the two other contestants with the highest scores in the competition, who were among the top 5, were Pham Thi Ngoc Quy and Nguyen Thi Dieu Duy.

The official judging panel for the inaugural global competition included: Poet Hong Thanh Quang (Head of Jury), Painter Thanh Chuong, Choreographer Tran Ly Ly, Miss World Vietnam 2007 Ngo Phuong Lan, and Journalist Dang Diem Quynh. The final night also featured experts and distinguished guests including Miss Intercontinental 2012 Daniel Chalbaud, Doctor of Anthropology Vu Thi Thu Huong, Master of Psychology Ly Thi Mai, and the Head of the Advisory Board, Mrs. World Runner-up Thu Huong. In addition, the competition received support from two special experts from the United States: Catwalk expert Kevin Parker and Choreographer Daquan Smith.
The grand finale made a strong impression on the thousands of live audience members. After many days of rehearsals at FLC Quy Nhon and FLC Sam Son (Thanh Hoa), most contestants appeared confident on the magnificent stage, with captivating music, performances by singers closely linked to the program's events, and especially in a unique performance setting right on the sunny, breezy beach.
Alongside the performances of the 39 contestants, the final night featured performances by various singers and artists specially arranged for the show, such as: Duc Tuan with the song "Want to Hear the Sound of Waves"; Ai Phuong with "I See Yellow Flowers on Green Grass"; Hien Thuc with "I Am a Star"; Noo Phuoc Thinh with "Wanna Be a Star" and Ionah Show "Harmony of Nature".

Immediately after the final night of the competition, the organizing committee, the judging panel, along with the newly crowned Miss, First Runner-up, and Second Runner-up, met and had a dialogue with the press. Many questions were asked of the Miss, First Runner-up, Second Runner-up, as well as the organizing committee and judging panel, and all were answered satisfactorily.

The Miss Vietnamese Identity Global 2016 pageant has concluded, leaving a positive impression on the public for this first-ever national and global beauty contest, which began in March 2016. The competition is organized by FLC Samson Golf & Resort Co., Ltd. and is expected to be held every two years.
