Adapted from the best-selling novel by Jon Krakauer and the true events of the 1996 earthquake that rocked Nepal, the film follows the extraordinary journey of two groups of climbers hoping to reach the summit of Mount Everest, also known as the “roof of the world.”
Famous for being the highest peak in the world, Mount Everest welcomes countless adventurous tourists from all over the world every year to try and conquer it. The film was filmed outdoors in many locations such as the foothills of Mount Everest (Nepal), the Alps (Italy), Cinecitta Studios (Rome) and Pinewood Studios (UK).
"Everest" recounts the journey of two groups of climbers who set out to reach the "roof of the world" amid one of the most ferocious blizzards of all time. In extremely harsh conditions, they must find a way to overcome almost impossible obstacles to stay alive and return home.

InclipIn the latest film released by Universal, the crew of "Everest" shared for the first time the difficulties in getting realistic scenes. "You can't shoot at home, you have to go up the mountain, you need real snow and weather," Jason Clarke (playing Rob Hall) began the story.
To recreate the blizzard disaster that occurred on the so-called “roof of the world” in 1996, the actors had to transform into real climbers with a level of performance that was considered “more than acting in a movie”. Even during filming, the production team had to face an avalanche that buried the filming area. The main goal was to make the audience feel as if they were stuck on the mountain that night, added Thomas Wright – the actor who played the Australian climber.
It is known that through this trailer, Universal and the EVEREST film crew want to send a message of sharing the pain with the victims of the recent earthquake disaster in Nepal and at the same time call for donations to the non-governmental organization Oxfam.
