The Malaysian chef brings to Pan Pacific Hanoi his culinary experience, honed over more than 20 years working in top kitchens at 5-star hotels, restaurants, and international cruise ships across the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Ooi Kar Kim will play a key role in leading a talented team of chefs, designers, and in redefining the premium dining experience at Ming Restaurant, while also elevating the experience for guests enjoying luxurious banquets at Pan Pacific Hanoi.
With his deep understanding of Chinese and East Asian cuisine in particular, and his diverse cooking techniques that preserve the fresh flavors of high-quality ingredients, each dish, under his creative and skillful hands, will create a captivating culinary journey.

Prior to joining Pan Pacific Hanoi, Ooi Kim had internships at several 5-star hotels such as Hilton Colombo in India, Shangri-La, JW Marriott Marquis City in Doha, Mövenpick in Dubai, and the 6-star Star Cruise chain.
In particular, he has achieved prestigious awards as proof of his talent and effort, including: The Fact 2019 award - Most Loved Chinese Restaurant category, What On 2015/2016 award, and being honored in the list of talented young chefs in 2012 at Burjuman. His journey of over 20 years dedicated to culinary arts will be subtly reflected in every dish that Chef Ooi Kim offers to diners.
