Phu Quoc will close Dinh Cau Night Market.

07/01/2016

From June 2016, tourists visiting Phu Quoc Island will no longer have the opportunity to visit and shop at the Dinh Cau night market, which has long been famous among many visitors.

Dinh Cau Night Market, operating since September 2007, is located right next to Duong Dong beach, stretching approximately 400 meters. It's an essential destination for both domestic and international tourists visiting Phu Quoc, offering a wide variety of goods, mainly food, seafood, and souvenirs. The market is open from late afternoon until nearly midnight each day.

However, from June 30th, tourists will no longer have the opportunity to stroll through the night market, shop to their heart's content, and enjoy Phu Quoc's specialties. According to an announcement from the Phu Quoc District People's Committee, this night market will permanently cease operations to reorganize traffic in the central area of Duong Dong town. Vendors in the market will have to return their stalls upon the expiration of their leases.

Currently, Phu Quoc has another night market called Bach Dang Night Market, located along the Duong Dong coast, a few hundred meters from Dinh Cau Night Market.
