The airline is focusing on increasing the frequency of domestic flights, connecting popular tourist destinations such as Hanoi, Saigon, Da Nang, Da Lat, and Phu Quoc. With over 1,700 flights and 330,000 seats, passengers will have more options to explore the diverse beauty of Vietnam. At the same time, international routes to attractive destinations such as India, China, Thailand, and Australia have also been significantly increased to meet the growing travel demand of the public.
The total number of seats offered across the domestic and international network during this period is approximately half a million, corresponding to nearly 2,500 flights.
Ensuring sufficient supply during the peak National Day holiday on September 2nd is a significant effort by Vietnam Airlines, the national airline of Vietnam, amidst a shortage of aircraft in the aviation industry due to the global recall of engines for inspection by manufacturers. Recently, Vietnam Airlines received an additional Airbus A320neo and a Boeing 787-10 to enhance service and meet the high demand for passenger travel during this period.
Ensuring sufficient supply during the peak National Day holiday on September 2nd is a tremendous effort by Vietnam National Airlines.
To proactively serve the travel needs of the people, transport goods, and promote tourism development during the National Day holiday, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requests Vietnamese airlines to proactively coordinate with travel businesses in developing programs and plans for flights to key tourist destinations and countries, thereby supporting, promoting, and enhancing domestic and international tourism activities.
Airlines coordinate with ground service providers to develop flight service plans, especially for flights operating during nighttime hours, supporting and facilitating airlines to maintain the highest possible flight rates and frequencies, while ensuring full safety and operational capacity.
A survey of airline ticket websites for flights on August 31st and September 2nd shows that for the Hanoi-Phu Quoc route, on August 31st, Vietnam Airlines tickets cost between 3.5 and 4.1 million VND per economy class ticket (including taxes and fees). For the return flight on September 2nd, the lowest economy class ticket price is nearly 2.8 million VND, while the highest is over 4.1 million VND.
