Let us turn our heads towards the national flag with the pride of a Vietnamese person.
On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), the Vietnam Youth Union, the Department of External Information (Ministry of Information and Communications), and TikTok, in collaboration with Schannel Network, launched the National Day Campaign (#NgayQuocKhanh) to spread national spirit and love for the homeland.
This campaign is an opportunity for content creators, KOLs (key opinion leaders), and people nationwide to express their patriotism and national pride through activities centered around the national flag. Using the national flag as the central image, through media activities and by covering social media platforms in red, the campaign aims to spread the spirit that no matter who you are or where you are, you will always look towards the Vietnamese flag.
The National Day campaign (#NgayQuocKhanh) aims to spread national spirit and love for the homeland.
People are changing their Facebook profile pictures en masse to spread the campaign's influence.
Accordingly, from August 26th to September 5th, content creators and the user community will "paint" TikTok red by simultaneously posting content expressing national pride and love for the homeland on September 2nd, using special effects to spread the image of the Vietnamese flag. News content, vlogs, historical stories about National Day, and stories about President Ho Chi Minh will also be shared by content creators. The #BookTok community will also share books and stories about the glorious history of the Vietnamese nation directly on the platform.
Young people join hands to "paint social media platforms red".
Many young people are spreading patriotic spirit across social media platforms.
With the desire to see the national flag appear and fill the streets with its proud red color on the morning of September 2nd, Schannel, in collaboration with the management units of giant LED screens in major provinces and cities nationwide such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nghe An, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Thanh Hoa, Can Tho, etc., will implement the project of projecting images of the national flag from approximately 5:00 to 6:00 AM on September 2nd, 2024, and repeat throughout the day.
National Day has held a special place in the hearts of Vietnamese people for generations.
On September 2, 1945, the immortal Declaration of Independence, drafted by President Ho Chi Minh, was read aloud at Ba Dinh Square, as a powerful declaration of the Vietnamese nation. He solemnly declared before the entire Vietnamese people and the world that:Vietnam has the right to enjoy freedom and independence, and in fact has become a free and independent country."The resounding cry of 'Independence!' from him was like a sacred flame, igniting national hope and pride, marking a golden milestone in the history of our nation's struggle to build and defend the country."
The immortal Declaration of Independence stands as a powerful statement of the Vietnamese nation.
For millennia, throughout the glorious history of nation-building and national defense, the Vietnamese people have always harbored a burning desire for freedom and self-reliance. Even under more than a millennium of feudal rule from the North, the patriotic spirit of our people was never extinguished.
Ngo Quyen's resounding victory on the Bach Dang River in 938 opened a new chapter in the nation's history, ending the period of Chinese domination and affirming the country's independence and sovereignty. Continuing this tradition, the Ly, Tran, Le, and Nguyen dynasties continuously fought to protect and expand the territory, maintaining national independence for a long period. Despite countless ups and downs and turbulent times, the indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people has always shone brightly, becoming a flame that ignites the patriotic spirit of countless generations.
Over the past seven decades, independence has become a source of pride and motivation for every Vietnamese citizen.
The Vietnamese people have always harbored a burning desire for freedom and self-reliance.
More than seven decades have passed since our country gained independence. Looking back on that glorious historical journey, we understand even more deeply the aspiration for peace, the will for self-reliance, and the spirit of national unity. Vietnamese people have always desired to build an independent, unified, prosperous, democratic, just, and civilized country. These noble values have become the guiding principles for every action of every Vietnamese citizen, and especially for the younger generation.
Looking at the national flag makes one feel a deeper appreciation for the value of independence and freedom.
National Day on September 2nd is not only a historical anniversary but also an occasion for every citizen to reflect on the patriotic tradition, rekindle national pride, and aspire to build a bright future for the country.
