Both sides have exchanged a great deal of information on the tourism markets of their respective countries, with the desire to further increase the number of visitors, effectively exploit the economic potential and strengths of the tourism industry, and meet the interests of tourists in both countries.
Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Tuan, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary, highly appreciated Saigontourist, Vietnam's largest tourism brand, for pioneering the tourism development cooperation program between Vietnam and Hungary. He requested that the Hungarian side create more favorable conditions for granting visas to Vietnamese tourists entering Hungary, as committed by the two governments. Regarding the issuance of visas to Hungarian tourists entering Vietnam, the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary has been creating the fastest possible conditions, issuing visas on the same day for international tourists.
Representatives from the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations highly appreciated Saigontourist's efforts and potential, the attractiveness of Vietnamese tourism to Hungarian tourists, and stated that the Vietnamese market will be a target for the Hungarian tourism industry. In the near future, the Hungarian government will study ways to create the best and fastest conditions for simplifying visa procedures for Vietnamese tourists.
Hungary, and the Central European market in general, is a new product for Saigontourist, with a special 10-day, 9-night tour program to Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Austria, priced at approximately 50 million VND per person. From now until the end of 2017, Saigontourist Travel will serve hundreds of Vietnamese tourists participating in this trip, including many groups combining tourism with conferences and seminars (MICE). In 2018, Saigontourist Travel will regularly organize tours to Hungary and Central Europe. Simultaneously, Saigontourist is increasing its cooperation with leading Hungarian partners to bring Hungarian tourists to Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam.
