The common theme of the three competitions is to capture beautiful moments of Vietnamese landscapes, daily life, traditional culture, festivals, cuisine, traditional costumes, and the friendliness of the Vietnamese people throughout the country.
Eligibility: Open to all Vietnamese and foreigners, regardless of age or occupation.
Submission period: From August 15, 2017 to March 31, 2018
VIDEO CLIP CONTEST:
Video clip entry requirements:
- The clip must be of high quality (HD, Full HD, etc.) and no longer than 3 minutes.
- The clip can be filmed using a mobile phone, camera, camcorder, or drone. If the video clip is filmed with a phone, the screen must be in landscape mode.
- Authors submitting video entries must include the commentary used in the clip. The organizers encourage videos that feature narrators, guides, or experiential learning.
- Authors can participate individually or in groups. The organizers will only contact the group leader named in the entry form submitted to the organizers and will only award prizes to the group leader (representing the group) if the entry video wins.
- If using music in a video clip, the music must not infringe on copyright (you can use music from YouTube's music library, free music websites with copyright protection, or the music libraries of video recording applications...).
The competition entry video must include:
- The brief description (maximum 300 words) should include: the title of the work, the location where the clip was filmed, the time the clip was filmed, and the story in the clip.
- This is a Word file containing the commentary used in the video clip.
- List the names of all music used in the video clip. If the music is from a free source, include the source link. If the music is copyrighted, include a photocopy of the documentation proving that the author has purchased the rights to use the music.
- If the clip uses one or more other materials, the author must attach a list of those materials, the start and end times of their use in the clip, the source addresses, and photocopies of documents proving the author's right to use those materials in the clip.
- The author is responsible for the legal aspects and costs of music copyright, copyright of materials used in the clip, the content of the submitted clip, the accuracy of the information presented in the clip, and the information submitted to the organizers.
- Submitted clips must be original videos that have never been posted on personal blogs, social media sites, forums, or other mass media outlets. The clips must not have won any previous video contests and must not currently be participating in any ongoing video contests.
- Each author can submit an unlimited number of clips to the competition.
- If the clip includes sound, the audio must be clear and easy to hear. If the clip has narration in English, the narration must be by a native English speaker (British, American, or Australian). Clips submitted with narration must include a Word document of the narration (for entries submitted via microsite or email, or a printed copy for entries submitted by mail).
- Submitted video clips must be realistic and authentic, not violate Vietnamese customs and traditions, and not violate Vietnamese law, while expressing the author's subjective opinions on issues related to race, religion, customs, culture, etc.
- The submitted video clip must not contain any logos of brands or businesses, including images of Saigontourist or Tuoi Tre newspaper, for the purpose of brand promotion.

- Participants only need to provide information once before submitting their first video entry. If a participant does not complete the registration form, all submitted video entries will be disqualified.
Prize structure:Quarterly prize: worth 7,000,000 VND.
Overall prize:
First Prize: Worth 64 million VND, including 40 million VND (cash) + a travel voucher worth 24 million VND (sponsored by Saigontourist Travel Service Co., Ltd.)
Second Prize: Each prize is worth 37 million VND, including 25 million VND (cash) + a travel voucher worth 12 million VND.
Third Prize: Each prize is worth 21 million VND, including 15 million VND (cash) + a travel voucher worth 6 million VND.
Consolation Prize: 10 million VND (cash)/prize
ART PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
Photo entry requirements:
- Submitted photos can be taken with digital cameras, conventional cameras, mobile phones, and/or drones.
- Contest entries must be submitted as digital image files with a minimum file size of 3MB/file.
- The author is only permitted to use specialized software to adjust brightness, contrast, and image size. The author is not allowed to add borders, combine images, delete or add details to the image.
- Submitted photos must include a caption of up to 100 words: Title of the work, location, time, and event depicted, with a detailed explanation of the story behind the photo being highly recommended. The author is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided in the photo.
- Authors register to participate by filling out the form on the program's microsite at http://bansacviet.tuoitre.vn.
- Participants only need to provide information once before submitting their first entry. If a participant does not complete the registration form, all entries will be disqualified.
- Recent photographs, taken no more than 24 months prior to submission, are encouraged.
- Submitted photos can be single photos or photo sets (minimum 10 photos per set).
Prize structure:
Monthly prizes:8 Monthly Prizes: Each month, there will be one first prize worth 7,000,000 VND in cash from the Organizing Committee (Saigontourist). Tuoi Tre Newspaper will publish the first prize-winning photo of the month in its publication and notify the winner. The first prize-winning photo of the month will be eligible to advance to the final judging round.
Overall prize:The prizes include cash from the Organizing Committee (Saigontourist) and travel vouchers from Saigontourist Travel Service Co., Ltd.
First Prize: 40 million VND + travel voucher worth 20 million VND.
Second Prize: 25 million VND + a travel voucher worth 10 million VND.
Third Prize: 15 million VND + a travel voucher worth 5 million VND.
Consolation Prizes: each prize is worth 10 million VND.
WRITING CONTEST
Contest entry requirements:
- Articles should be a maximum of 1500 words, and including illustrative images is encouraged.
- Articles can be submitted in Vietnamese or English (translation will be handled by the organizing committee).
- Authors should provide their address, phone number, and email address (if available) so that the organizing committee can contact them.
- This entry has never been submitted to any previous writing competitions, nor is it currently being submitted to any ongoing writing competitions. The entry has never been published in newspapers/magazines or on social media.
Prize structure:
Quarterly prizes: 2 prizes: 5 million VND/prize
- The first prize will be awarded for entries submitted between August 2017 and the end of November 2017.
- The second prize is for entries submitted between December 2017 and the end of March 2018.
Overall winner:
First Prize: Worth 35 million VND, including 25 million VND (cash) + a travel voucher worth 10 million VND (sponsored by Saigontourist Travel Service Co., Ltd.)
Second Prize: Each prize is worth 25 million VND, including 15 million VND (cash) + a travel voucher worth 5 million VND.
Third Prize: Each prize is worth 13 million VND, including 10 million VND (cash) + a travel voucher worth 3 million VND.
Consolation prize: 5 million VND (cash)/prize
Award winners (who do not reside in Ho Chi Minh City) will receive a two-night hotel stay from Saigontourist to attend the awards ceremony. The hotel will be selected and booked by Saigontourist.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place before June 30, 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City.
