In the prestigious annual ranking recently released by the international aviation rating and ranking organization Skytrax, this year's Top 100 Best Airports in the World honored Vietnam's strong presence with two outstanding representatives: Noi Bai International Airport and Da Nang International Airport. Specifically, Noi Bai International Airport affirmed its position at 79th place, while Da Nang International Airport closely followed at 84th place, demonstrating the remarkable progress and increasingly improved service quality of Vietnam's aviation industry on the international stage.
A notable highlight in this year's ranking is the impressive rise of Noi Bai International Airport. With a jump of 17 places compared to last year's position, Noi Bai has demonstrated its continuous efforts in improving and upgrading service quality and infrastructure. This also marks the seventh time Noi Bai International Airport has been honored to be included in Skytrax's prestigious ranking, a well-deserved recognition of its commitments and concrete actions to provide the best possible passenger experience over the years.
Noi Bai Airport has been ranked among the top 100 best airports in the world seven times.
According to representatives of Noi Bai International Airport, last year the airport ensured absolute safety and security for over 30 million passengers, and witnessed strong growth in international passenger numbers in the first quarter of this year, demonstrating the effectiveness of launching many new international routes connecting Hanoi with important destinations worldwide. Looking to the future, Noi Bai International Airport is shaping its development strategy to become a smart airport, focusing on enhancing the passenger experience while aiming for green and sustainable development goals, in order to strengthen the position and reputation of Hanoi as an important gateway airport in the eyes of passengers and international friends.
This marks well-deserved recognition for Noi Bai's persistent efforts and continuous improvements over the years.
Equally impressive, Da Nang International Airport has also made significant progress in this year's rankings. Surpassing many strong competitors in the region and around the world, such as Bangalore Airport in India, New Chitose Airport in Japan, and Kuala Lumpur Airport in Malaysia, Da Nang has risen to 84th place, a 10-place increase compared to 2024. Furthermore, Da Nang International Airport was also honored with the 9th position in the top 10 best airports in Asia, a proud achievement affirming the quality of service, modern infrastructure, and passenger experience at the airport, which are increasingly improving to meet stringent international standards.
For Da Nang International Airport, this is the second consecutive time it has been honored in the top 100 best airports in the world as announced by Skytrax.
In 2025, Da Nang International Airport will rank 84th in this prestigious ranking, a 10-place increase compared to 2024.
According to the leaders of Da Nang International Airport, this is an important milestone, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to providing the best experiences for passengers. Previously, in 2023, Skytrax honored Da Nang Airport as the world's most innovative airport and the best regional airport in Asia, further affirming the airport's remarkable efforts and achievements. As the largest airport in the Central and Central Highlands region, with a total area of 842 hectares, Da Nang Airport currently serves an average of over 260 domestic and international flights per day, with a total passenger traffic exceeding 40,000. International flights average over 50 landings and takeoffs at Da Nang daily, highlighting the airport's crucial role in connecting the region with the international community.
This is a significant milestone, affirming that the quality of service, infrastructure, and passenger experience at Da Nang International Airport is continuously improving.
The World Airport Awards, initiated by Skytrax in 1999, are based on its first global airport customer satisfaction survey. Since then, the award has become a widely recognized quality standard worldwide, comprehensively evaluating customer service and facilities at over 500 airports globally. The fact that two major Vietnamese airports have consistently been recognized in this prestigious ranking is not only a source of pride but also a driving force for the Vietnamese aviation industry to continue developing and reaching international standards, affirming its position as an attractive and high-quality destination in the region.
