The People's Committee of Ha Long City (Quang Ninh province) is installing free Wi-Fi and surveillance cameras at 17 rest stops along Ha Long Bay.

Currently, free Wi-Fi has been installed in Thien Cung Cave, Dau Go Cave, and Titop Island. However, the quality of the Wi-Fi system is not yet stable. Therefore, after the upgrade, the Wi-Fi system in these areas will be much better than before.

Installing a free Wi-Fi system will make it easier for tourists to access information and follow entertainment programs while cruising on Ha Long Bay.

In addition, the surveillance camera system at 17 stops along the Bay will transmit live images 24/7 from the tourist sites to the mainland. This facilitates monitoring, management, and handling of security and order-related issues, ensuring the safety of tourists.

This also serves as the initial basis for moving towards selling electronic tickets for tours of Ha Long Bay to tourists.

It is expected that free Wi-Fi coverage will be basically established at most rest stops in Ha Long Bay this year. Installation at points where overnight cruise ships dock will be considered later.
