This Korean-Vietnamese Film Festival aims to broaden understanding of the cinema of both countries, promote future cooperation and exchange, and foster collaboration with film directors, actors, and filmmakers, creating a significant stepping stone for cultural exchange between the two nations.

The opening ceremony of the film festival at 6 PM on November 17th was also attended by Mr. Dong Ho Kim, General Director of the Busan International Film Festival, director Dong Hoon Choi of the film "Assassination Mission", director Sung Hee Cho of the film "Detective Hong Gil Dong", director Hyun Jin Park of the film "Let's Fall in Love", and other guests.

The 2015 film "Let's Fall in Love" by director Hyun Jun Park was chosen as the opening film. Eight Korean films such as "Assassination Mission," "Okja," "Our World," "Detective Hong Gil Dong," etc., and four Vietnamese films including "Saigon Girl," "Hot Boy Rebellion 2," "There's a House That Listens to the Sun and Rain," "Super Thief," etc., will be screened during the final days of the festival.

In addition, during the film festival, there are many other attractive programs that many young people are interested in. These include Q&A sessions with film directors and actors (guest speakers, teachers), with 1-2 sessions per film, and one Q&A session per Vietnamese film.

Of particular note is the workshop on filmmaking using smartphones, aimed at film students and the general public. This workshop, covering filming techniques, will take place from November 19th to 21st. Director Man Dae Bong and other directors will participate as instructors. Through filming and editing techniques, participants will be able to create their own 5-minute short films. We also plan to screen these smartphone-made short films before the closing ceremony.

Ji Yeong Hong, head of the organizing committee for the Korea-Vietnam Film Festival, stated: "The message of this film festival is to share, enjoy, and appreciate films from both countries, and to enjoy works that are being and have been made using only smartphones." He further explained the significance of the film festival, adding, "The film festival is very attractive in terms of cinema."

This is a cultural exchange between filmmakers and the film industries of South Korea and Vietnam, and the Vietnam-Korea Film Festival is attracting widespread attention.
