Sharing with Travellive, Win Đi – the initiator of the idea – said: "This idea was sparked by personal experiences and those of my friends who have had the opportunity to travel to many places. In many countries, a travel passport is not only a tool to record the journey but also a bridge that helps tourists connect with their destination. I thought, why doesn't Vietnam have such a travel passport? And that's when this idea was formed, with a spirit of pride in Vietnam's country, culture, and beautiful scenery. I am very happy that this product has been very positively received by tourists, especially after the launch of the Ha Giang passport in early 2025 and currently the Sapa (Lao Cai) passport."

Bringing a breath of fresh air to tourism in the Northwest region.

Upon receiving an invitation to collaborate from Mr. Pham Cao Vy, Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association, Win Di and his associates immediately began implementing the project. They started by thoroughly researching local culture, creating ideas, designing a logo, and selecting colors so that the "Sapa tourism passport" would reflect the distinctive spirit of the "city in the mist."

The project was far from simple. Win Đi and his team worked together to select outstanding destinations, design commemorative stamps, and ensure the product was not only aesthetically pleasing but also practically functional. After numerous trials and revisions, the Sapa travel passport was officially launched, hoping to provide tourists with a fresh and exciting experience when exploring this region.

Travel blogger Win Đi added: "I bring the story, while the local authorities provide the practical value. As a travel blogger, I can spread my passion for travel, but it is the local tourism organizations that ensure the sustainable development of the tourism industry. Therefore, when we received the agreement and support from the Lao Cai Provincial Tourism Association, my team and I felt very happy and grateful to have the opportunity to contribute a small part to the journey of creating new value for Vietnamese tourism. And I also believe that Vietnam still has many wonderful places waiting to be discovered in a more special way - not just as tourists, but also as companions to our homeland."

The Sapa travel passport is not just a souvenir, but also a bridge that helps tourists experience this region more deeply. With dedication and a desire for improvement, travel blogger Win Đi hopes this product will achieve important goals: creating personal connections, encouraging responsible tourism, and promoting unique experiences.

Having a passport motivates tourists to explore more places, not just the famous tourist destinations. This helps them experience and understand the culture, people, and unique cuisine of Sapa more fully.

Furthermore, Win Đi and the team hope that a portion of the profits from passport sales will be reinvested in the local community, such as developing sustainable tourism or supporting education for children in mountainous areas, contributing to improving the quality of life there. Besides being a keepsake, the passport offers travelers a journey full of personal touches. This connection will make Sapa more attractive, creating memorable and unique experiences for tourists.

"I expect this passport to become a tourism symbol of Sapa, an indispensable souvenir for any visitor coming to the city in the mist," he said.

We believe that the collaboration between travel enthusiasts and tourism organizations will generate groundbreaking ideas and projects, thereby contributing to sustainable development and enhancing the value of Vietnamese tourism. This is the key to helping Vietnam reach further on the world map, opening up new opportunities for the tourism industry, and creating wonderful experiences for domestic and international tourists.
