The management board of Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area, under Trang An Investment, Trade and Service Company Limited (Ninh Binh), has announced an increase in entrance fees effective November 1st.
Specifically, the price for senior citizens has doubled from 60,000 VND to 120,000 VND per person; children's tickets (1-1.3m tall) have increased from 60,000 VND to 120,000 VND; adult tickets (over 1.3m tall) have increased from 120,000 VND to 250,000 VND per person; and children under 1m tall remain free as before. This price includes entrance to Tam Coc - Bich Dong scenic area and boat ride.
This announcement notes: The current ferry fare is 150,000 VND per trip, applicable for one boat carrying 4 Vietnamese passengers and one boat carrying 2 foreign passengers.
The unit cited the reason for the price increase as aiming to improve service quality, invest in and repair infrastructure, and enhance the tourism environment.
Earlier in July, the Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area unexpectedly announced a temporary suspension of visitor access.

According to a document sent to the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism by Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise - the unit operating tourism activities in the Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area: To ensure better service for tourists in the future, the Management Board of the Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area is carrying out activities to restore the landscape and preserve the heritage value of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex according to the management plan. At the same time, they are arranging, training, and improving the skills of boat drivers in welcoming tourists in the Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area.
The site will be temporarily closed to visitors from July 9, 2023, until further notice.
