In the early morning of April 30th, soldiers from the Logistics and Technical Department of Military Region 7, with a high sense of responsibility and profound compassion, implemented a program to distribute free dried food and bottled water to people patiently waiting to witness the parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
On Dinh Tien Hoang Street, one of the main thoroughfares leading into the city center, the atmosphere became more lively as military vehicles loaded with practical supplies stopped. People lined up in an orderly manner to receive packages of dried food and bottles of mineral water from the soldiers.
Many locals and tourists decided to stay up all night, eagerly awaiting the parade and procession.
Radiant smiles were evident on everyone's faces, expressing their gratitude for the kindness of the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army. Many young people couldn't hide their excitement, immediately opening their packages of dried rations and enjoying the special taste of this familiar military food, sharing that this was the first time they had had the opportunity to experience this flavor.
In the early morning of April 30th, along many streets in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City, soldiers from the Logistics and Technical Department of Military Region 7 distributed free rations and bottled water to people waiting to watch the parade and march.

At the same time, around 4:30 AM on April 30th, at the intersection of Dien Bien Phu and Hai Ba Trung streets, soldiers from the Logistics and Technical Department of Military Region 7 began distributing these meaningful gifts. Despite the early hour, a large crowd had gathered, filled with excitement and pride to witness this historic event. As the packages of dried rations and bottles of water were handed out, heartfelt thanks were extended to the soldiers, creating a warm and touching scene of "the deep bond between the military and the people" on this historic morning.
The close bond between the military and the people is strong in peacetime.
To ensure the needs of the large number of residents and tourists are met, the Ho Chi Minh City Command has prepared and stockpiled a large quantity of goods, estimated at around 400 cases of bottled water. Throughout the morning of April 30th, the unit planned to deploy up to 25 task forces at 6 key locations across the city to distribute bottled water, yogurt, boxed milk, pastries, and especially dried food rations – essential items to help people have more energy while waiting for and watching the parades and marches. This thorough and thoughtful preparation demonstrates the deep concern of the City Command for all aspects of people's lives during these important holidays.
Officers and soldiers of the Ho Chi Minh City Command brought water to each seat of the people and tourists to offer them refreshments.
Young people are excited about this "simple but special" gift.

Beyond simply supporting the public during the official holiday, from April 9th to 30th, the Ho Chi Minh City Command, in close coordination with relevant units, implemented a comprehensive support program for military forces participating in parade and march training at the Military School of Military Region 7. This program included ensuring logistical support, providing all necessary supplies, from drinking water and food to the best possible living conditions for officers and soldiers throughout the arduous and rigorous training process. This attention was maintained during joint rehearsals, preliminary rehearsals, general rehearsals, and the solemn commemoration ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City.
These practical and meaningful activities by the Ho Chi Minh City Command and the soldiers of Military Region 7 not only contribute to ensuring the health and comfort of the people and armed forces during important holidays, but also serve as vivid evidence of the close and inseparable relationship between the military and the people, like fish and water. In the joyful atmosphere of celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification, these heartwarming actions further deepen the meaning of the holiday, affirming the strength of national unity and highlighting the beautiful image of the soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army in the hearts of the people.
