The Danish Girl receives numerous BAFTA nominations.

With its profound and inspiring message, stunning visuals, and immersive performances from the actors, the film The Danish Girl has just received 5 BAFTA nominations from the British Academy.

The shortlist includes categories for Outstanding British Film, Leading Actor for Eddie Redmayne, Leading Actress for Alicia Vikander, Costume Design, and Make-up and Hair.

The BAFTA Awards are the most prestigious film and television awards in the UK, often compared to the American Oscars. Nominations for these awards honor the most outstanding individuals and achievements in the film and television industry. Before reaching the BAFTAs, this stunning work by director Tom Hooper was also nominated for the 2016 Golden Globe Awards in the categories of Best Actress (Alicia Vikander), Best Actor (Eddie Redmayne), and Best Original Score (Alexandre Desplat).

The Danish Girl is a moving story about the life of Lili Elbe (Eddie Redmayne), who bravely underwent the world's first gender reassignment surgery. Originally a young landscape painter named Einar Wegener, he unexpectedly discovers his true self when his wife Gerda (Alicia Vikander) asks him to pose as a female model for her paintings. From then on, his new life as the beautiful Lili Elbe begins.

The Danish Girl officially premiered in Vietnam on January 15, 2016.

To celebrate its release in Vietnam, the film The Danish Girl (released in Vietnam as Cô Gái Đan Mạch) will have early screenings to satisfy the anticipation of the audience. From 7 PM on January 13, 2016, audiences can enjoy the film through special screenings.
