Thor: Ragnarok releases the best trailer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Recently, Marvel's blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok released its first trailer, featuring a series of shocking plot twists.

Following Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarok is Marvel's second major blockbuster of 2017. The film marks a turning point for the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) ahead of the final battle, Avengers: Infinity War, next year. After releasing character designs not long ago, the first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok has also been released, leaving fans eagerly anticipating its release.

With a dark tone unlike previous works, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is defeated for the first time and becomes a prisoner of his enemy. The villain who appears shortly after is Hela, played by the renowned Cate Blanchett. However, the detail that shocked viewers was Hela's easy destruction of Mjolnir, the most powerful weapon in the MCU to date. Without a doubt, the goddess of hell is the most powerful villain Marvel has ever seen. She could even rival the "final boss," Thanos. With Cate Blanchett's acting talent, Hela promises to be a captivating and deeply memorable villain in the MCU.

Immediately after defeating Thor, Hela's next target is Asgard. Armed with the legendary Nightsword, she effortlessly brings destruction to the sanctuary of the Norse gods. Thor is cast adrift in a strange land and becomes a prisoner of the Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson). The trailer also reveals the young warrior's past encounters with and defeat at the hands of Hela. However, the Valkyrie promises to play a crucial role in Asgard's war.

Furthermore, the nearly two-minute clip also impresses with the appearance of Loki (Tom Hiddleston). After the previous film, Loki disguised himself as Odin and ruled Asgard. However, this time, he appears in his true form and with a rather new look. Certainly, behind this image lies a series of mysteries that the film is still hiding. Loki's role as an ally or enemy of Thor remains undisclosed, but it will likely be a key plot point in Thor: Ragnarok.

In addition, the reappearance of Heimdall (Idris Alba) in a completely new guise, or the character Skurge played by Karl Urban, also brings a lot of excitement.

Thor, once again, becomes a prisoner of the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum) and is forced to become his gladiator. With his short haircut and warrior-like attire, Thor delights viewers with his robust and powerful appearance. Surprisingly, his opponent is his former teammate, Hulk. Hulk in the film also has a rather impressive gladiator look. This image is taken from Marvel's extremely popular Planet Hulk comic series. It seems that, as previously rumored, Thor: Ragnarok will be a combination of the Ragnarok and Planet Hulk comics. Before he can fully enjoy his reunion, the "God of Thunder" is horrified to realize that the green giant seems to have lost his memory. These two powerful characters promise to deliver a fiery and extremely intense confrontation.

With its incredibly visually stunning and spectacular fight scenes featuring a host of characters, Thor: Ragnarok promises to be the best standalone Thor film yet, and one of the best MCU works to date. How will Thor, without his legendary hammer, fight Hela?

Can Thor reclaim his kingdom?

Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Idris Alba, Tom Hiddleston, Jeff Goldblum, Anthony Hopkins, Cate Blanchett, and others, and is scheduled for release on October 27, 2017 (one week earlier than in North America).

Besides the main Avengers films, the individual superhero movies produced by Marvel Studios are eagerly awaited by fans and moviegoers worldwide. Thor: Ragnarok, the third installment in the Thor series, is no exception. Recently, Marvel Studios pleased fans by revealing images of some of the film's main characters.
