Having started accepting applications in December 2022, and after seven months filled with memorable events and milestones, the Asia Architecture Design Awards 2023 (AADA) has reached its final stage with the announcement of the winners.
These architects, designers, and firms represent pioneering, innovative, and groundbreaking achievements, showcasing the diversity and excellence of Asian architecture. From skyscrapers to sustainable urban developments, the honored projects harmoniously blend aesthetics, functionality, and environmental considerations.
"The winning projects stand out with their innovative design solutions, use of unique materials, and integration with the environment, landscape, and sustainable vision. These designs reflect the vibrancy and dynamic, innovative spirit of the region, pushing boundaries and redefining the potential of architecture," said Alberto Beretta, CEO of IFO SRL and Head of the Jury for the 2023 Asian Architecture Awards.

According to Alberto, due to the large number of projects submitted with consistent quality, selecting a winner was not an easy task. The judges, who are experts in architecture, design, real estate, etc., from many countries, worked diligently and fairly for over a month to evaluate the entries.
The most intense competition was in the categories of Residential Architectural Design, Resort and Hotel Design, and Commercial Interior Design. Among these, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore stood out in both quantity and quality. Some notable winning projects include DJ Private Residence (Jordan), Define (Singapore), The Earth House (India), Pennant Thonglor (Thailand), Marsa HQ (Indonesia), The Valhalla (Malaysia), Dubai Heart (UAE), etc.

In Vietnam specifically, the judging panel highly appreciated several resort, restaurant, and office projects that skillfully combined modern architecture with local elements. Particularly noteworthy were projects that seamlessly integrated nature with human living spaces. Some notable examples include TRE dining (B Bright Group), "Ngo" house (DOG HOUSE), CBRE Hanoi office (Vacons), and Xuan Thao Residence (Xuan Thao)...

The awards ceremony promises many surprises with a novel concept. More than just a place to honor winners, it's also a platform for sharing, exchanging ideas, and expanding collaborations, with the participation of architects, designers, experts, influencers, media representatives, and industry leaders. With the theme “Impactful Asia,” the awards ceremony will take place on August 14th at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
