The competition was organized to select beautiful photographs of Phu Tho tourism to initially build a tourism photo database serving the province's tourism promotion and marketing efforts. It also provided an opportunity for professional and amateur photographers to create outstanding works reflecting the natural beauty, cultural values, heritage, life, and people of the ancestral land through the lens of tourism. These included images of destinations, scenic spots, historical relics, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, especially UNESCO-recognized cultural heritage such as "The Hung Kings Worship Belief" and "Phu Tho Xoan Singing"; moments of daily life, customs, and culinary culture of the people of Phu Tho; and images of tourists exploring, experiencing, and immersing themselves in the lives of local people at tourist destinations. Tourism and cultural sites, types of tourism, festivals, forms of folk culture, traditional craft villages… in Phu Tho province.
The deadline for submitting entries is December 2016. The organizing committee will award prizes in March 2017. Accordingly, outstanding and winning entries will be selected for display during the Hung Kings Commemoration Day – Hung Temple Festival in 2016 and 2017.
