According to travel agencies, there has been a significant change in demand for tour bookings for this year's holiday season, due to the short holiday period and, in particular, the negative impact of sky-high airfare prices.

In this context, road tours are becoming increasingly popular and vibrant. Tourism experts believe that customers are now increasingly opting for combo packages instead of traditional tours, especially since many families own their own vehicles and can easily explore the convenient highways in both the North and South. This allows them to customize travel products for themselves or their families, particularly during this year's April 30th holiday, with many family groups trending towards renting homestays near their homes.
According to the survey, homestays in the suburbs of Hanoi, Ninh Binh, and Nam Dinh are considered to offer stable prices, around 500,000 VND per person per night. During the April 30th holiday, this price may increase by about 20%, but is still considered "very cheap" compared to the cost of road travel, which is already considered relatively inexpensive.
In the North, there has been a significant increase in bookings at tourist destinations such as Cat Ba, Van Don, Quang Ninh, Sam Son, and Sa Pa. Meanwhile, in the South, Mui Ne and Vung Tau have also attracted particular interest from tourists.
According to representatives of travel companies, the April 30th holiday is usually just a small "stepping stone" in a series of longer summer holidays, so tourists often choose short weekend trips to reduce costs or take trips closer to home.
To meet this demand, Vietnamese airlines are actively cooperating with tourism businesses to develop programs and flight plans to domestic and international tourist destinations, with the goal of supporting and promoting domestic and international tourism.
