The meticulously handcrafted costumes make 'Crimson Peak' unique.

Whether it's a suit or a dress, everything must be designed to accentuate the unique charm of each character. And hidden within, one can still glimpse the slumbering demon, just waiting to be awakened.

According to costume designer Kate Hawley, who was in charge of the film's costumes, each dress in BLOODY CASTLE had to accurately reflect director Guillermo del Toro's grand vision, while also aligning with history and poetry. "Each outfit seems to be an emotional journey and becomes symbolic for each person. For example, Lucille is always dark, like a moth, while Edith possesses a delicate beauty like a golden butterfly," Kate shared.

The biggest challenge in designing the costumes for this film was the limitation of using only a few characteristic colors to complement the setting. Additionally, the materials used had to be appropriate for the year 1091, including velvet, brocade embroidered with gold thread, and even the type used for the vests. Consequently, all the costumes worn by Thomas and Lucille were hand-sewn.

Thanks to these elements, "Bloody Castle" stands out among other films released around the same time this Halloween season. Not only that, the film is also expected to receive an Oscar nomination for Best Costume Design next year.
