Whether it is a suit or a dress, all of them must be guaranteed to exude the unique charm of each character. And deep inside, people can still see the shadow of a sleeping devil, just waiting to be awakened.

According to costume designer Kate Hawley, each dress in BLOODY CASTLE had to reflect the grand vision of director Guillermo del Toro, while also being steeped in history and poetry. “Each outfit seems to be an emotional journey and becomes symbolic for each person. For example, Lucille is always dark, like a moth, while Edith has the fragile beauty of a yellow butterfly,” Kate shared.

The biggest challenge in designing the costumes for this film was that only a few distinctive colors could be used to coordinate with the color of the setting. In addition, the materials used also had to be suitable for the setting in 1091, including velvet, brocade and even the type for the waistcoats. Accordingly, all the costumes worn by the characters Thomas and Lucille were sewn by hand.

Thanks to these factors, "Bloody Castle" becomes different among the films released at the same time during this year's Halloween season. Not only that, the film is also expected to win an Oscar nomination for costumes next year.
"Bloody Castle" features a talented cast of Hollywood actors such as Tom Hiddleston (familiar with the role of Loki in The Avengers), Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland, Jane Eyre, Only Lovers Left Alive), Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty, Interstellar)...
The film officially opens at CGV theaters nationwide from October 16, 2015 in 2D and IMAX 2D formats.
