Travel + Leisure magazine recently suggested a trip to the locations featured in the blockbuster film Kong: Skull Island in Vietnam, based on the amazing experiences of director Jordan Vogt-Roberts.

The director of the Kong film expressed his fondness for Vietnam: “I truly love the people, the culture, the food, and the landscapes here.” “My mission is to bring these beautiful sights into the film and let the world know how amazing they are.”

Speaking to Travel + Leisure, director Jordan Vogt-Roberts said that Vietnam wasn't initially given much attention, but when we arrived, the landscapes and beauty of the country truly convinced me. And I felt like I had never seen anything like it anywhere else I'd been before.

During the interview, Jordan Vogt-Roberts recounted his time working in Vietnam, describing those as truly precious moments for him and the film crew. Many beautiful, joyful, and memorable photos were captured and shared by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and his colleagues on this magazine's website.

"This is a picture from the first day of filming in a small village. All the villagers came out to watch us. If you zoom in on the picture, you can see a large crowd surrounding us. If we were filming in America, we wouldn't allow this to happen. But in Vietnam, we let the people come to watch because I really can't express how happy and proud they were to see us come here to film. And this really means a lot to us."

“All the filming locations are special to us. The photo on the right is a real scene; it's what made me decide to film here, and I had to find a way to incorporate it into the film. The mountain ranges are truly magnificent.”

Some scenes were filmed in completely foggy weather. One of these scenes was so beautiful that director Jordan exclaimed it was "the most beautiful on the planet."

There were some really tough moments for them, with the freezing weather and having to film underwater scenes. But those were also some of the most amazing moments they experienced.

Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts and lead actor Tom Hiddleston climbed approximately 600 stone steps to capture this stunning photograph. "These scenes were filmed in Ha Long Bay. It's like an endless, vast ocean with strangely shaped rocks rising above the water. I was also fascinated by the enormous size of the rocks compared to the boat."

With the film's widespread popularity and the broad influence of renowned Hollywood director Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the images and emotions of him and his film crew as they experienced Vietnam's nature, landscapes, cuisine, and culture will undoubtedly have a powerful impact, encouraging tourists to choose Vietnam as their destination.
