The director of the film Kong expressed his good feelings towards Vietnam: “I really love the people, culture, cuisine and landscape here”. “My mission is to bring these beautiful scenes into the film and let the whole world know about their wonderful beauty”.
Sharing with Travel + Leisure, director Jordan Vogt-Roberts said, “At first, Vietnam didn’t get much attention, but when we arrived here, the landscape and beauty of this country really convinced me. And I felt like they had never existed anywhere I had been before.”

During the talk, Jordan Vogt-Roberts recounted his time working in Vietnam, which were truly precious moments for him and his crew. Many beautiful, fun and impressive photos were taken by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and his colleagues and shared on this magazine page.

"The first photo shoot in a small village, all the villagers came out to watch us shoot. If you enlarge the photo, you can see a lot of people around. If we were filming in America, we wouldn't allow this to happen. But in Vietnam, we let the people come and watch because I really can't describe how happy and proud they were to see us come here to film. And this really means a lot to us."

“All the filming locations are special to us. The photo on the right is real, it was the scene that made me decide to shoot there and I had to find a way to incorporate it into the film. The mountains are majestic.”
There were scenes filmed in foggy weather. One of the scenes that director Jordan exclaimed was “the most beautiful on the planet”.

There were some really difficult moments for them, with the cold weather and the underwater scenes. But it was a great moment for them.

Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts and the film's male lead actor Tom Hiddleston climbed about 600 stone steps to get this beautiful photo. "These scenes were filmed in Ha Long Bay. It's like an endless ocean with strangely shaped rocks rising above the water. I also enjoyed seeing the huge size of the rocks compared to the boat."

With the film's influence and the wide influence of famous Hollywood director Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the images and emotions of him and his crew when experiencing the nature, landscape, cuisine and culture of Vietnam will certainly have a strong impact, urging tourists to decide to choose Vietnam as their destination.
