Featuring 80 photographs showcasing cultural, social, economic, and urban activities, the daily lives of Hanoi residents, and beautiful images of Hanoi's streets, the exhibition is divided into four main themes: Landscapes, Culture, Life, and Traditional Crafts. The 80 works in the exhibition were created and preserved over the years by members of the Hanoi Senior Citizens Photography Club, reporters, and contributors to the Economic and Urban Newspaper.
The beautiful moments captured in these works show the audience that alongside Hanoi's cultural depth, there is also the vibrant rhythm of life in Hanoi's streets during its development. Beyond pride in Hanoi – the Heroic Capital, the City for Peace – the works also clearly express the love for Hanoi of the authors, who have lived, worked, and been connected to Hanoi for decades.
Among the 80 photographs displayed at the exhibition marking its 12th anniversary, many have contributed to the distinctiveness of the "Hanoi in My Eyes" photo column in the weekend issues of Kinh Te va Do Thi newspaper over the past 12 years.
According to photographer Dao Quang Minh, Vice President of the Hanoi Photography Association: “The more than 80 photographs displayed in the exhibition represent 80 shades of color depicting the people and life of the capital city. This is fitting for our exhibition, ‘The Rhythm of Life in the Capital.’ The quality of the photographs is relatively good, from the emphasis, the choice of points, the selection of scenes, to the choice of printing technology on wood for the photographs in the exhibition, all of which highlight the details and value in each image.”
“Hanoi in My Heart” is an annual exhibition organized by the Economic and Urban Newspaper in collaboration with the Hanoi Senior Citizens Photography Club. Over 11 years – 11 exhibitions – “Hanoi in My Heart” has become a meeting point for photography enthusiasts and those who love Hanoi, held annually at the beginning of October. The exhibition has left a lasting impression on the public with its sincere, profound, and enduring love for Hanoi; its humane and insightful professional perspective; and its rich life experiences.
The exhibition will take place from October 9th to 13th.
