This event was organized by the Ca Mau Provincial Association of Literature and Arts in coordination with the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Fine Arts Association.
The exhibition features 260 works by 226 artists from the Mekong Delta region. The works are presented using various materials such as oil paint, sculptures, silk, pen and ink, wood carving, pigments, acrylics, and mixed media, showcasing a diverse range of themes and expressive styles from each artist.
The organizing committee selected and awarded 8 prizes to authors who are members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, including: 1 A prize, 1 B prize, 1 C prize, and 5 consolation prizes. The Mekong Delta Fine Arts Award for authors who are not members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association was awarded to 11 works, including: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 5 consolation prizes. In addition, 12 works received certificates of merit from the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and were nominated for the National Committee of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations award. 36 individuals and groups were awarded commemorative medals by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association for their contributions to Vietnamese fine arts.
Through their submitted works, the authors expressed their emotions stemming from life, from their own souls, their love for their homeland, and the responsibility of artists and soldiers on the ideological and cultural front. The exhibition runs until August 19th, and it is expected that the 20th exhibition (in 2015) will be organized by Bac Lieu province.
