This activity is organized by the Ca Mau Provincial Literature and Arts Association in coordination with the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Fine Arts Association.
The exhibition introduces 260 works by 226 authors in the Mekong Delta region. Accordingly, the works are expressed through materials such as oil paint, round statues, silk, iron pen, wood carving, gouache, acrylic, synthetic... with diverse themes and rich expression of each author.
The Organizing Committee selected 8 awards for authors who are members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, including: 1 A prize, 1 B prize, 1 C prize and 5 awards. The Mekong Delta Fine Arts Award for authors who are not members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association was awarded to 11 works, including: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 5 consolation prizes. In addition, 12 works were awarded certificates of merit by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and introduced as awards for the National Committee of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations. 36 individuals and groups were awarded commemorative medals for the cause of Vietnamese fine arts by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association.
Through the works, the authors expressed their emotions from life, from their souls, love for their homeland and the responsibility of artists and soldiers on the ideological and cultural front. The exhibition will run until August 19 and it is expected that the 20th exhibition (in 2015) will be organized by Bac Lieu province.
