The exhibition 'Polish Smiles'

21/04/2014

For the first time, "smiles" were brought to Vietnam in the "Polish Smiles" exhibition, held at the Exhibition House at 16 Ngo Quyen Street from May 2nd to May 8th, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Poland's accession to the EU.

Marek Wysoczynski, the initiator of the unique "Smile Project," has been collecting autographs from famous people both in Poland and around the world across all fields for many years. Celebrities such as Jim Carrey, Michael Jackson, and Diego Maradona have all contributed their smiles to this project by drawing and signing their smiles.

These "smiles" have been displayed in many countries around the world, including Austria, Egypt, China, Spain, and Mexico. In these countries, viewers have been able to admire a part of Marek Wysoczynski's collection of 15,000 smiles, not only in exhibitions, but also in hospitals such as the Children's Cancer Hospital in Cairo and the Children's Hospital in China. The goal of the Smile Project is to create smiles on the faces and in the hearts of sick children and lonely people, those who have suffered greatly in life and lost their own smiles.

During his visit to Vietnam, in addition to the exhibition, Mr. Marek Wysoczynski also wants to visit several schools, as well as children's hospitals and orphanages, to share smiles and help underprivileged children draw their own smiles. His wish is that by creating smiles for children, while we may not be able to cure their illnesses or sadness, we can help them alleviate pain, gain strength, and have faith in life. That is the greatest gift for Mr. Marek Wysoczynski and the "Smile Project."
