As the opening film for the Halloween season, Ouija: Origin of Evil (Vietnamese title: The Ouija Game 2) became an absolute box office success for the horror genre.

In Vietnam, the film grossed nearly 13 billion VND in just 3 days in theaters. This is also one of the unexpectedly high-grossing markets in the region, surpassing the Philippines' revenue by approximately 2.5 billion VND. Meanwhile, in North America, after only 3 days of release, *The Conjuring 2* impressively earned 14 million USD. Currently, the film is in the Top 5 highest-grossing films of the week, reaching 24.6 million USD. Child star Lulu Wilson delivered an incredibly impressive performance as a girl possessed by a demon in The Conjuring 2.

The first installment of this Oculus film series was released in 2014 and became a box office phenomenon that year. Oculus 2 continues that successful franchise, notably with "horror king" Mike Flanagan at the helm, making the film a guaranteed quality. Three years after the resounding success of Oculus (2013), Mike Flanagan returns with a chilling film that rekindles the haunting specter of the dangerous spiritual game – Oculus. Furthermore, the film features the contribution of renowned producer Jason Blum, the head of the world's largest horror film studio, who has produced a series of terrifying horror films such as Insidious, Paranormal Activity, The Purge, and Sinister.

The Ouija Board Game 2 is set 50 years before the events of the first game, revolving around a family of three—a mother and her two daughters—who use a Ouija board to profit from fraudulent séances. But as the saying goes, "he who walks in the dark will eventually encounter ghosts," and the Ouija board they use inadvertently opens a door for a demon to enter their home and possess the soul of their youngest daughter, bringing the family to the brink of death.
