This is the announcement content of Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, Peng Shi Tuan, at the working session with Director of the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Nguyen Phuong Hoa.

According to the General Department of Tourism, at the meeting, Counselor Peng Shidoan affirmed that tourism cooperation between Vietnam and China before the COVID-19 pandemic was extremely good, bringing common benefits to the people of the two countries, and making practical contributions to fostering Vietnam-China friendship. China always values ​​and listens to suggestions from Vietnam.

Counselor Peng Shituan said that with the authorization of the Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, he went to the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to inform them that the Chinese Government has decided to include Vietnam in the pilot list for opening group tourism in the second phase (from March 15, 2023).

Mr. Bang The Doan also said that Vietnam will be one of the countries prioritized for direct flights, waiving the requirement to provide PCR test results 48 hours in advance. Visitors entering the country only need to provide rapid test results or organize a 2% probability test.

China hopes to continue to closely coordinate with Vietnam, together ensuring the legitimate rights of tourists from each country.
