At the recently concluded ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF 2026) in the Philippines, Vietnam's tourism industry was honored with numerous important awards, affirming its position in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism segment. Among them, the Ariyana International Convention Center in Da Nang was the only representative from the coastal city to meet the standards for an ASEAN MICE 2026 venue.
The ASEAN MICE Awards 2026 is an event within the framework of ATF 2026, aiming to recognize organizations that meet stringent criteria regarding infrastructure, equipment, environmental management processes, and personnel quality. Vietnam's consistent recognition in these categories demonstrates its efforts to standardize services according to international standards to attract high-end business travelers.
Vietnamese business representatives beamed as they received important awards at the Southeast Asia Tourism Forum.
Mr. Le Dinh Nam, representing Ariyana International Convention Center Da Nang, received the prestigious award on the ASEAN stage.
This year, the list of outstanding Vietnamese establishments honored includes: Ariyana International Convention Center Da Nang (Event Venue category), Lady Hill Sapa Resort (Lao Cai), Sun Spa Resort (Quang Binh), Silk Path Grand Hue Hotel & Spa (Thua Thien Hue), and The Grand Ho Tram (Ba Ria - Vung Tau).
Among the honored venues, the Ariyana International Convention Center in Da Nang stood out as the only local representative to achieve regional standards. This result is based on its modern infrastructure and experience in organizing large-scale international events.
Previously, this venue had won accolades such as Best Convention Center in Vietnam at the World Luxury Travel Awards and a national award for Outstanding Event Venue. The additional ASEAN MICE Venue Standard certification is considered a crucial "guarantee" that will enhance Da Nang's competitiveness in hosting multinational diplomatic and economic conferences.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong was present at the event to congratulate the businesses. According to experts, the success at ATF 2026 not only brought titles to individual units but also contributed to strengthening Vietnam's brand as a tourist destination on the global tourism map.
The presence of ASEAN-standard venues is a key factor for Vietnam to implement its breakthrough strategy in the MICE tourism industry, contributing to sustainable economic growth and promoting the national image to international friends in the new era.
