Panjin Beach is located in the Liaohe River Delta, 30 km southwest of Panjin City, Liaoning Province, China. The reason this place is called the Red Sea is because every autumn, the entire beach turns a characteristic brilliant red.
Although it is a beach, there is no sand here. The beach is located in the world's largest wetland and reed swamp, covered with a native seaweed called Suaeda Salsa. How to Move
By train:There are seven trains from Beijing to Panjin every day, so the easiest way to get to the Red Sea is by train. The fast trains take less than 3.5 hours and the slow trains take 5-6 hours. Once in Panjin, you can take a bus or taxi to the beach area. The Red Sea area is called Honghaitan Fengjingqu in Chinese.
By bus:Panjin has at least two long-distance bus routes running from Beijing, Tianjin and several other major neighboring cities.
