The Red Sea in China is ablaze with color in autumn.

Panjin Beach is located in the Liao River Delta, 30 km southwest of Panjin City, Liaoning Province, China. It's called the Red Beach because every autumn, the entire beach turns a vibrant, characteristic red color.

Although it's called a beach, there's no sand here. The beach is located within the world's largest wetland and reed marsh, covered in a native seaweed species called Suaeda Salsa. From April to May, it begins to grow and develop rapidly. At this time, it retains its green color like other plants. But as autumn arrives, Suaeda Salsa turns a distinctive red, creating a magnificent, vibrant red landscape.

The Red Sea Panjin has been designated a protected area by the Chinese government since 1988. Only a small section is open to tourists. Not only is it a popular tourist destination in China, but it is also home to 399 species of wildlife and over 260 species of birds. These include the crowned crane and the red-and-black gull, rare and highly endangered species.

The Red Sea at Ban Cam is most captivating in September, when the area transforms into a vibrant red, creating a poetic and uniquely beautiful landscape. When the tide recedes and the ocean currents decrease, the seaweed beds are exposed, covering an area of ​​up to 100 square kilometers.²This sea glows a vibrant red, setting the entire autumn sky ablaze. Way to Move

By train:There are seven trains from Beijing to Panjin every day, so the easiest way to get to the Red Sea is by train. With the express train, it takes less than 3.5 hours, and 5-6 hours with the slower train. Once in Panjin, visitors can take a bus or taxi to the beach area. The Red Sea area is called Honghaitan Fengjingqu in Chinese.

By bus:Panjin has at least two long-distance bus routes running from Beijing, Tianjin, and several other nearby major cities.
