The Golf Course is in excellent condition to host the tournament of the Hai Phong Department of Foreign Affairs and the Hai Phong Golf Association at a very meaningful time with a very prominent flower season in Hai Phong city.
The Guest Division championship went to golfer Nguyen Huu Thanh, whose par shots on the back nine holes helped him win the tournament. Second place in the Competition Division went to golfer Nguyen Son Ha, and third place in the Competition Division went to golfer Nguyen Thanh Phuong. Things would have been different for golfer Nguyen Son Ha if he hadn't had a triple bogey for 7 at the par-5 11th hole. A great birdie on the final hole, one of the most difficult par-5 holes on golf courses in Vietnam. The same goes for golfer Nguyen Thanh Phuong, who seemed to have won the championship with the first nine holes, but had a triple bogey for 7 at the par-5 13th hole. And a comeback with a birdie for 2 at the 16th hole was not enough for him to win the tournament.
In the Women's Table, Golfer Nguyen Thi Loan won the Championship, Golfer Ha Thi Phuong Loan won Second Prize, and Third Prize went to Golfer Lai Thi Phuong Lan.
In Group C for golfers with handicaps from 24 to 36, the Championship belonged to golfer Ta Xuan Phuong with very solid shots in all 18 golf holes. Both golfers who won third and second place, Tran Duy Minh and Luong Van Thanh, almost had a chance to win the Championship with very little difference in scores compared to the leader of the Group. Both golfers who won second and third place had a bad start with the first holes being triple and double while the winner of the Group started with two holes both having par. Despite a triple bogey at hole number 9, golfer Tran Duy Minh still won the Third Prize of this Group. Golfer Ta Xuan Phuong did a miracle that even though he had a double bogey at hole number 7, he still won the First Prize of the competition group.
In Group B, for golfers with handicaps from 13 to 19, the first place of the group belonged to golfer Nguyen Duc Dang. He won the first place of the group with a start of two bogey holes and returned with a birdie on hole number 3, and then witnessed a day full of shining competition of this gold player. He played very steadily, especially on the last 9 golf holes with only 1 hole bogey, the rest were all par. Second place belonged to golfer Vu Minh Hien with a not so good start of the 9 golf holes with 2 holes with double bogey and another hole with triple bogey, and only really came back on the last 9 golf holes with only 3 strokes over the standard score. The golfer who won third place was golfer Tran Quoc Chinh, who found the feeling of playing after the first 4 golf holes, won 1 hole with bogey and 1 hole with birdie.
In Group A for golfers with handicaps from 1 to 12, golfers Nguyen Van Tam and Truong Duc Hung could not overcome golfer Nguyen Van Bach to win the Championship of Group A. Golfer Nguyen Van Tam started with a birdie and played very well on the next 4 holes, and he almost only bogey when he started to turn to the back 9. Golfer Truong Duc Hung, who won third place, achieved a balanced score when looking at his score card with 8 holes with par scores equal to the number of holes he bogey, and in fact, with only the last 2 holes he had a double bogey, pushing the golfer down to 3rd place in the Group.
All the attendees present at the auditorium at Do Son Golf Club that day truly congratulated the Championship of the tournament for golfer Dam Thanh Vinh with 10 holes of Par score and 1 hole of birdie with a total score of 78 points.
Mr. Ta Minh Duc - Deputy Director of Do Son Golf Course spoke at the award ceremony: "We are very happy and proud to organize this tournament, and we also know that all golfers participating in the tournament had a great day here - today there were very good players, there were not so good players, but above all everyone had a comfortable day playing golf at a standard golf course, the excellent management of Golf Executive Director Evans Mahoney and his colleagues along with the coordination of the Hai Phong Golf Association. We hope to organize this tournament in the following years, as well as support the organization of tournaments for the business community in Hai Phong in particular and in Vietnam in general to contribute to promoting the building of relationships in the business community"
Do Son Golf Course is a member of the International Golf Operators Association and promotes local trade and tourism in Hai Phong in particular, Vietnam in general and orients development towards the international market.
Do Son International Golf Course has recently successfully organized the opening tournament in the BRG HANOI JUNIOR TOUR 2014 youth tournament system and the 2014 Spring Championship tournament of Do Son Golf Course. Besides, the golf course also won the award for the Golf Course with the most beautiful Par 5 hole voted by Vietnam Golf Magazine. This is also a member of BRG Group, which has built and owned the oldest and most beautiful golf courses in Vietnam such as Kings' Island Golf in Dong Mo - Son Tay - Hanoi and Legend Hill Golf Resort in Soc Son - the first golf course designed by Nicklaus Design in Vietnam.
