Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province directed the above units to regularly and closely monitor the developments of tropical depressions and storms; organize inventories; notify owners of vehicles and captains of ships and boats operating at sea of the location, direction of movement and developments of tropical depressions and storms so that they can proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas.
A series of passenger transport routes to islands such as Con Dao, Phu Quy, Ly Son and Cu Lao Cham have been temporarily suspended.
Strictly manage the activities of ships and boats at sea. All ships and boats are prohibited from operating at sea, including passenger transport vehicles on the Sa Ky - Ly Son route and vice versa from 12 noon on September 18 until the weather stabilizes.
Agencies, departments, branches and localities in the province need to notify, guide and call on owners of aquaculture cages and rafts on rivers and seas to urgently move to safe places.
A representative of Phu Quoc Express Joint Stock Company said that many of the company's passenger transport routes had to be temporarily suspended due to bad weather conditions. Specifically, the Thang Long ship running the Vung Tau - Con Dao route and vice versa on weekends from September 14 to September 29 has been temporarily suspended until further notice.

The Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard Command said that as of 5 a.m. this morning, the total number of fishing boats of fishermen in the province operating at sea was 206 boats/1,942 workers. Of which, 144 boats/761 workers were operating in the open sea. Offshore boats include 25 boats/176 workers in the Hoang Sa area, and 37 boats/1,005 workers in the Truong Sa area.
