People in the flooded areas are facing many difficulties, and people everywhere are worried about the flood-stricken areas. National solidarity and brotherhood are thus strengthened. The entire nation is turning its attention to the flood-affected areas with heartwarming acts of sharing. There is no greater "test" than this to make us love our nation even more.

After Typhoon Yagi passed, its remnants arrived, bringing heavy rains that caused widespread flash floods and landslides. Houses were submerged, roads were cut off, and fields were inundated. The images of people in northern Vietnam struggling against the harsh natural conditions were heartbreaking. Every house swept away, every person missing, represents an unspeakable tragedy.

In the darkness of night or amidst the raging floodwaters, officers and soldiers rushed towards the people to bring them to safety. In the middle of the night, amidst the fast-flowing floodwaters, for over an hour, a task force of 15 police officers from Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province, did everything they could to rescue a woman who was six months pregnant and trapped in the flood.

Over the past few days, many people and volunteer clubs in Da Nang City have gathered to cook banh chung and banh tet (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) to transport to the North, sending love to those in need in flood-affected areas. In Son Tra district, the atmosphere of wrapping banh chung on An Hai Dong 1 street was bustling. Without being told, everyone had a task: some prepared banana leaves, others washed sticky rice, and then together they wrapped and cooked banh chung throughout the night.

Natural disasters are unavoidable. Every country in the world, no matter how rich or civilized, faces the challenge of natural disasters. But the solidarity among compatriots in such difficult times is a tremendous source of spiritual strength, encouraging, comforting, and connecting people.
