Edelweiss will operate direct flights connecting Zurich and Ho Chi Minh City with a frequency of 2 flights/week using A340-300 aircraft. The new route will help tourists from Switzerland and European countries to reach Vietnam in the easiest and most convenient way. Mr. Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss said: “Vietnam is a famous tourist destination with many recreational activities that are known to Swiss tourists.
Tourists from Switzerland tend to take longer vacations and spend more than those from other countries. Each year, the airline expects to transport around 10,500 visitors to Ho Chi Minh City and create a source of revenue.grossed over $32 million.”
In addition to connecting tourists from Switzerland and Europe to Vietnam, the new route also facilitates direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City.Minh travels to Europe with a wide range of connecting flight options from Zurich and destinations on Swiss International Air Lines' global network.

The new route will be operated by an Airbus A340-300 aircraft with a capacity of 314 passengers. Business class has 27 flat-bed seats and is equipped with a modern entertainment system with HD touch screens. Premium economy class Max has76 spacious seats with 6 inches of extra legroom, reclining seats, and more. Economy Class has 211 seats equipped with an entertainment system with a screen.
