Located at an altitude of approximately 4,522 meters, Tso Moriri is one of the highest-altitude lakes situated entirely within the Indian subcontinent and within the geographical boundaries of Ladakh. Simply being captivated by the breathtaking scenery at Tso Moriri is an understatement. The landscape here is like a dream come true, a magical blend of turquoise water, azure sky, the mysterious brown of towering sand dunes, and the pristine white of the surrounding snow-capped mountains.
Vu Nguyen believes that Tso Moriri is a must-see destination when traveling to Ladakh.
"When visiting Ladakh, many people often skip Tso Moriri because of the bad and remote road, but this is actually the most impressive destination for me. All the difficulties and fatigue from struggling with the 50 km journey to get here vanished when I stood in front of Tso Moriri," Vu Nguyen shared.

The best time to visit Tso Moriri and see the full spectacular beauty of the stunning blue lake is September and October.

Tso Moriri only receives water from small mountain streams and retains it in its reservoir.
