The 15th Southern Vietnam Fruit Festival – 2019 will take place from June 1st, 2019 to August 31st, 2019, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism in coordination with Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company, the Department of Agriculture & Rural Development, the Department of Industry and Trade, and other relevant units under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
The festival is a unique and important cultural and tourism event held annually in Ho Chi Minh City. Its purpose is to introduce visitors to the distinctive, rich, and diverse varieties of fruits from the Southern Mekong Delta region, while also honoring the achievements in agriculture and contributing to the promotion of Southern agricultural products, thereby enhancing the brand value of Southern fruits in particular and Vietnamese fruits in general.
At this year's Southern Vietnam Fruit Festival, visitors will continue to enjoy exploring the culinary paradise of Vietnam with famous Southern Vietnamese dishes made from fruits and vegetables. The festival contributes to preserving and passing on the unique folk culinary culture of the people of Southern Vietnam.
To celebrate this event, numerous orchards and fruit growers from 19 southern provinces and cities, representing 766 units, will bring to the festival a variety of large, delicious, and unique fruits, offered at a 20-30% discount. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience hundreds of different fruit varieties. In particular, visitors will be able to enjoy the "Thirty-Two Fruits of Longevity" dish, made from 32 types of fruit, which set a Vietnamese record in 2012, prepared by the Phu Dong Suoi Tien restaurant.
At the festival, many unique activities are organized, such as: a floating fruit market, a competition for delicious and safe fruits, fruit carving art, a fruit parade, a garden of exotic flowers and plants, a beverage mixing demonstration, and delicious dishes made from fruits…
