With the desire to boost the tourism industry after the pandemic, Jay Quân and his team came up with the idea of creating a series of music videos set against the backdrop of famous destinations throughout Vietnam. Each music video is produced as a short film showcasing the beautiful scenery, people, cuisine, and culture of different regions.
Jay Quân chose Da Nang as the setting for his first music video in his project, titled "Take You Away," featuring his wife, Chung Huyen Thanh.

Hi, I understand you and your team are planning a series of music videos combining music and travel, and "Take You Away" is the first product in that project. Why did you choose this concept?
Quân simply wanted to pour all his passions into one product: music, film, and travel. Partly because of the pandemic, he had the opportunity to travel domestically more, and he had to admit that Vietnam is incredibly beautiful. It would be a real waste not to make films from the perspectives of young people to showcase to his compatriots and the world.

In the music video "Take You Away," many beautiful scenes of Da Nang appeared, such as My Khe Beach, Marble Mountains, Ba Na Hill, the Golden Bridge, etc. Did you have any particular reason for choosing Da Nang as the setting for the first music video of this project?
The reason Quân chose Da Nang is because it's one of the tourist cities most severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Immediately after the social distancing period, Da Nang and Hoi An were directly hit by a storm, causing even more damage. Even now, the lingering effects of the pandemic and the storm are still clearly visible in the city, and Quân made the music video hoping it would somehow help boost tourism in Da Nang and Hoi An so that people there can return to normal life as soon as possible.

Did you have any memorable experiences while making the music video?
A memorable moment was on the very first day of filming. Dat, who was responsible for shooting FPV scenes with a specialized drone, attempted a difficult shot and accidentally crashed the drone into the bridge railing and then into the swimming pool. Luckily, he had brought a backup drone, so filming wasn't affected, and the damage to the spare drone was about 30 million VND. The following days of filming were quite stressful because FPV flying is an extremely difficult technique; only a few people in Vietnam can fly it like him.

Da Nang is featured in the music video with many beautiful and impressive destinations. Among them, which destination do you personally like the most? And are there any destinations that you regret not being able to include in the music video?
Quân loves the Son Tra Peninsula because the sea and mountains there are majestically beautiful, and the crew managed to shoot many epic shots there. There are two places Quân regrets not being able to include in the music video: the lantern release scene in Hoi An, because due to the pandemic, fewer and fewer tourists visited Hoi An than before, so even though the crew tried to buy as many lanterns as possible, there weren't enough to get beautiful shots. The second destination Quân regrets not being able to include is the rice fields; the crew arrived in Da Nang just a week after a storm, so the rice fields were severely damaged.

Despite being over six months pregnant, Chúng Huyền Thanh's wife still appeared in his music video. Did she encounter any difficulties or challenges during filming?
Luckily, Thanh was in good health and didn't experience morning sickness, so the MV filming process was quite comfortable. For scenes requiring running or strenuous activity, Quân did it all himself. But Quân also has to thank his wife for performing so well; if he hadn't filmed the scene where he kisses her belly at the end of the MV, no one would have known that Thanh was pregnant during filming.

Could the music video for "Take You Away" also be a gift from the couple to their soon-to-be-born baby?
That's right. Quân cherishes every member of his family; his wife and children are always a source of inspiration for his artistic creations.
Can you reveal anything about the upcoming music video?
Quân is currently planning his next music video. I can't reveal much, but it will definitely be a combination of music and travel, and will carry positive energy.

With such a meaningful message, the public is undoubtedly eagerly awaiting his next music video. Thank you, and we wish you continued success with this project!
