On January 22, 2026, Ka-EN Japanese Grill & Sushi, a new Japanese restaurant under the EN Group, officially opened at 122 Xuan Thuy Street, Thao Dien Ward, District 2.
The name Ka-EN means "Flower" (Ka) and "Feast" (EN), evoking moments of togetherness and sharing around the dining table. This spirit is reflected in the restaurant's design, with its space and menu geared towards intimate gatherings, family meals, business meetings, or weekend get-togethers with friends.

Ka-EN uses fresh ingredients combined with various cooking methods to create a rich and diverse Japanese culinary menu.
Ka-EN's menu features over 80 dishes, encompassing many familiar Japanese culinary styles but presented in an accessible way. During the day, the restaurant serves lunch sets suitable for office workers and business meetings in Thao Dien. In the evening, the menu expands to include Robatayaki grilled dishes, premium seafood, and shared meals.

Ka-EN focuses on two key elements: ingredient quality and cooking techniques. The restaurant's highlight lies in its Robatayaki grilling art – a traditional Japanese grilling style that uses charcoal fire to bring out the natural flavors of meat and seafood. Alongside this is the Sushi & Sashimi counter, where dishes are prepared live in front of diners, emphasizing precision and freshness in every step.
One of Ka-EN's new offerings is Sushi Handroll – a culinary trend that has been popular in many major cities across Asia. Diners can choose individual rolls or order a handroll flight set to enjoy a variety of fillings, from spicy tuna to crispy fried soft-shell crab. Handrolls are served immediately after preparation to preserve the crispness of the seaweed and the freshness of the ingredients.

Alongside its food offerings, Ka-EN invests in its beverage selection, particularly sake. The restaurant boasts a diverse sake collection, including premium bottled varieties, sake served by the glass, and Sake Flight sets of 3 or 6 different types, allowing diners to easily explore and compare flavors. In addition to sake, the menu also features premium beers, wines, and highballs – simple, easy-to-drink cocktails perfect for pairing with grilled dishes.
Ka-EN's space is divided into several functional areas. The ground floor houses the Robatayaki area and sushi counter, creating an open and interactive atmosphere. The upper floor is a bar with a cozier ambiance, featuring an outdoor balcony, perfect for casual gatherings or enjoying drinks in the evening. On Friday and Saturday nights, the restaurant hosts DJs, providing a more vibrant atmosphere than during the day.
The restaurant serves a range of premium bottled sake, sake served by the glass, and sets of 3 or 6 different types of sake.
Sharing Ka-EN's vision, Raymond Ng, CEO of EN Group, said the restaurant is designed to suit various times of day, from business lunches to relaxing evenings or meeting friends. Ka-EN's goal goes beyond simply serving food; it aims to create a Japanese culinary experience that is relatable to today's urban lifestyle.
In the near future, Ka-EN plans to introduce the Sunday Boozy Brunch model – a Sunday lunch combining popular dishes with unlimited prosecco and sake tasting during specific hours. This is seen as Ka-EN's way of expanding the Japanese culinary experience to be more accessible to the contemporary lifestyle of residents and young people in Thao Dien.

With its flexible operating hours from daytime to late evening, Ka-EN caters to a diverse range of diners: from business lunches and dinners with friends to weekend gatherings for entertainment. Especially on Friday and Saturday nights, the restaurant's atmosphere is enlivened by DJ music, creating a more vibrant ambiance that perfectly embodies the "vibe dining" spirit that Ka-EN strives for.
As EN Group's latest project in Vietnam, Ka-EN Japanese Grill & Sushi continues to demonstrate the group's consistent direction of bringing Japanese cuisine closer to the public through modern, accessible formats while maintaining a focus on ingredient quality and cooking techniques. In the context of Thao Dien becoming an increasingly vibrant hub of lifestyles and culinary cultures, Ka-EN is expected to be a noteworthy culinary destination for diners seeking a fresh, flexible, and urban-friendly Japanese experience.
