Based on this growth rate, the Hanoi Department of Tourism forecasts that in the first quarter of 2024, the total number of tourists visiting Hanoi will reach approximately 6.54 million, an increase of 10.9% compared to the same period in 2023.
The poetic beauty of Hanoi, the capital city, is a favorite destination for both domestic and international tourists.
It is evident that the number of tourists visiting Hanoi is on the rise, especially foreign visitors. This is a positive sign for the capital's tourism industry to implement solutions to attract tourists and promote tourism growth. In particular, the development of new tourism products that are unique to Hanoi and create appeal for tourists is receiving attention.
Accordingly, the Hanoi Department of Tourism is coordinating with localities to implement new types of tourism linked to the strengths of each locality, such as: sports tourism in Soc Son district, community tourism associated with health care in Ba Vi and Soc Son districts... At the same time, it is developing river tourism products connecting tourist destinations along the Red River and Duong River areas; completing the Chuong Duong Do - Bat Trang - Chu Dong Tu Temple tourist route, and moving towards expanding the tourist route from Chuong Duong Do wharf to Son Tay and Ba Vi areas.
With these efforts, Hanoi's tourism industry hopes that the first quarter of 2024 will achieve many positive results, contributing to the strong development of the capital's tourism industry in the coming time.
