In Vietnam, the Land Rover Discovery Sport 2015 is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine similar to the Range Rover Evoque. The spacious interior with a 5 + 2 design is the biggest difference with competitors from Germany.

The 2015 Discovery Sport builds on a 2,741 mm wheelbase with a total length of 4,599 mm, making the new SUV 91 mm longer than the Freelander 2.

Details such as the hood, front bumper and rear compartment are all made of aluminum while the cross beams use magnesium material to significantly increase rigidity and torsional resistance. The lower guide rod of the front suspension is made of steel with aluminum joints, the rear suspension is coordinated to use aluminum material flexibly with the ultimate goal of minimizing the weight of the vehicle. Accordingly, the total weight of the vehicle is declared by the company to be about 1790kg.
