Bamboo and circus arts both symbolize simplicity and the essence of the countryside. However, familiarity and simplicity do not equate to boredom or mediocrity. Vietnamese Bamboo Circus seamlessly combines these two elements to deliver visually stunning performances through storytelling circus acts, using bamboo as the main prop, and unique live music that showcases the distinctive cultural characteristics of various regions across Vietnam.
The skillful body movements in Vietnamese Bamboo Circus evoke storylines and convey emotions: the double contortion act depicts the poignant feelings of separation, while the juggling act expresses the joy of labor.

In Vietnamese Bamboo Circus, bamboo is skillfully combined with humans in each act: juggling bamboo poles twice the height of a person, bending and twisting with bamboo, flying with bamboo poles, balancing on bamboo towers, tumbling with bamboo baskets… In addition, bamboo is also used flexibly to create settings, sometimes depicting a peaceful river in the countryside, other times becoming a majestic high mountain.

Vietnamese Bamboo Circus uses live music performances, transcending its role as background music to become a character in the story itself. The musical instruments used in Vietnamese Bamboo Circus are diverse, rich, and deeply rooted in the cultural themes of each performance: from the gongs of the Central Highlands, the zither in Northern Vietnamese folk singing, to the fiddle in Southern Vietnamese traditional music.

In each performance, the audience will encounter cultural characteristics unique to each region of Vietnam. Vietnamese Bamboo Circus not only recreates cultural activities but also conveys the soul of folk culture through lighting, sound design, and stage setting.

With the aim of providing international tourists and locals alike with an impressive and memorable experience of Vietnamese culture and art, the Vietnamese Bamboo Circus performances are currently being staged in Saigon, Hanoi, and Hoi An.
