In a mobile home industry witnessing a race for size and amenities, a new name has surprisingly gone against the grain: the Mini Silverdream. Crafted by Wanner Reisemobile, a renowned manufacturer of luxury motorhomes based on Mercedes-Benz platforms, the Mini Silverdream is more than just a vehicle – it could be considered one of the smallest mobile homes on the planet, a living testament to top-notch design and engineering, especially when designed specifically for couples.
The appearance of the Mini Silverdream at the CMT Stuttgart 2025 exhibition truly created a sensation. Amidst a host of large and imposing vehicles, this tiny "home" immediately became the center of attention. Its appeal didn't stop at professional events; the Mini Silverdream quickly spread across social media platforms, especially TikTok, where Max Wanner – one of the lead designers – regularly shared authentic videos of his adventurous life on the road with this tiny companion.

The miracle in tiny space
The Mini Silverdream could be described as a perfect miniature version of the larger Silverdream, but the interior space offers an unbelievable surprise. Despite its compact size of only 3.4 meters long and 1.5 meters wide – just slightly larger than the familiar Wuling Mini EV – this mobile "palace" boasts a fully functional kitchen, a versatile living area that doubles as a comfortable bed, and a generous amount of cleverly placed storage.
This is essentially a miniature, scaled-down version of their flagship motorhome model, showcasing its ultimate customization capabilities.
To turn the seemingly impossible into reality, Wanner Reisemobile made some bold and innovative changes. A highlight is the pop-top roof design. When opened, the vehicle's overall height reaches 2 meters, allowing the owner to stand comfortably in the kitchen area – a key factor in optimizing the living experience in a limited space.

The "base" for the Mini Silverdream is an equally unique choice: a 2009 Mazda Scrum. This is a kei car imported from Japan, known for its compact size and agile handling in urban environments. Equipped with a 660cc engine, manual transmission, and four-wheel drive, it ensures stable movement across various terrains.

Although the Mini Silverdream is manufactured for the Japanese market and therefore has a right-hand steering wheel, Max and his sister Lisa Wanner – who have personally experienced life in the Mini Silverdream – say they hardly feel any inconvenience due to the vehicle's narrowness; everything is within easy reach. Max also affirms that the bed and the overall tiny mobile home still feel quite comfortable.
Today, Mini Silverdream is also famous on social media thanks to its own TikTok channel, where Max Wanner often shares his life on the road with this tiny mobile home.
To compensate for the limited space, every nook and cranny of the Mini Silverdream is utilized to the fullest. Max cleverly installed mesh storage pockets throughout, from the partitions to inside the pop-up tent, creating convenient storage space for plates, cooking utensils, and other personal items. Like many other compact mobile home structures, the seating area is designed for flexibility, easily transforming into a comfortable double bed in just a few simple steps, optimizing its functionality.
To make everything fit in the small space, some changes were made.

Despite its modest size, this mobile home is truly a "miniature beast" in terms of electrical power. Max has equipped the Mini Silverdream with an incredibly impressive solar power system, including 500W solar panels mounted on the roof, a powerful 500Ah lithium battery pack, and a 3,000W inverter. All the electronics on board, from the lighting system, a 15-liter mini-refrigerator, a single electric stove, a slow cooker, to four ventilation fans, are powered entirely by solar energy. Although the primary heating source is a traditional gas heater, Max has also added an electric heater to save gas when needed, demonstrating meticulous energy management.
In a recent interview, Max and Lisa mentioned the presence of a tiny toilet hidden somewhere in the car, but cleverly avoided revealing its exact location, sparking curiosity among many. The water tank capacity wasn't specifically disclosed, but it's estimated to be around 5-10 liters, enough for basic needs under the kitchen sink.
Originally designed for the Japanese market, the steering wheel is on the right, but Max and his sister Lisa said they found it hardly inconvenient despite the car being so narrow.

Of course, while capable of operating independently off-grid for a certain period, this mini mobile home isn't designed for long trips or everyday life. It's positioned as an ultra-compact solution, easily stored in a garage, ideal for short weekend getaways or those who want to experience a minimalist lifestyle on the go. Max also revealed that the massive solar power system is equipped not only for practical purposes but also to showcase Wanner Reisemobile's superior engineering and expertise in automation and energy.
Currently, the Mini Silverdream is a one-of-a-kind model, and Wanner Reisemobile has no plans for mass production or offering it to other customers. The vehicle was built primarily as a concept car, a "bait" to attract attention and potential customers to the company's main Silverdream product line. Max Wanner revealed that the cost of building the Mini Silverdream is approximately 40,000-50,000 euros (equivalent to 1.2 billion-1.5 billion Vietnamese dong). This is a very high figure for such a compact motorhome, but entirely acceptable considering its unique concept nature. If the Mini Silverdream is put into mass production in the future, the cost is expected to be optimized and significantly reduced.
