Rome's city council is considering restricting tourist access to the famous Trevi Fountain by charging a fee and requiring reservations, one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. This decision stems from the problem of overtourism.

According to the city council's draft proposal, visitors wishing to see the Trevi Fountain must make reservations in advance and schedule visits during fixed hours. The number of people allowed to climb the steps around the fountain should also be limited.
