Passing through the gate of "Quintessence of Vietnam", visitors feel like they are lost in an ancient citadel, where every detail is restored from the original architecture to the landscape. The space is designed like an ancient village with a communal house yard, tiled roofs, bamboo hedges, a royal palace and a main gate - back gate system. The tiles are baked by hand, and even the manhole covers are transformed from old bricks to create a sense of authenticity. From 10am to 6:30pm every day, the stalls in the "citadel" are bustling with the participation of actors who transform into ancient residents, recreating the daily life and trade as in real life. "Quintessence of Vietnam" is a combination of a live stage, a cultural experience area and restored architectural works, providing a journey of discovery from morning to night.

Symphonic emotions from folk music
The main stage recreates the Thai Hoc courtyard at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, where more than 200 dancers bring 12 performances with 4 chapters: Origin, Life, Journey of Learning and Essence of Vietnam. The process of formation and construction of the country over 4,000 years with traditional Vietnamese customs and cultural life is fully conveyed in 45 minutes of sublimation.
Chapter I consists of three acts: Lullaby, Roots and Opening the Realm, recreating the legend of “The Dragon and the Fairy’s Descendants” using modern 3D technology. The offering ceremony to King Hung and folk life are vividly portrayed by 80 dancers. The most impressive performance is the performance of 50 male dancers with a giant cloth, recreating the vast ocean through interactive projection.

Chapter III includes Thai Hoc Moonlit Night, Dao Hoc Journey and Doctoral Coronation, combining contemporary dance and modern projection. A giant mechanical moon lights up the space, while elaborate ancient costumes on the king, mandarins and soldiers honor the traditional beauty and majesty of the day of returning home to pay respect to ancestors.
