Nguyen Thuy Duong, also known as Keo Nguyen - an experienced tour guide from the company "Three of Us", who has accompanied tourists many times to explore this wonderful land, shared: "I chose to go to Mu Cang Chai at this time because Mu Cang Chai is in the most beautiful rice season of the year".
The rice has begun to turn yellow all over the terraced fields.
Golden season in Mu Cang Chai - Ideal time for a trip
According to Keo Nguyen, Mu Cang Chai is at its most brilliant golden rice season, from September to mid-October. This is known as the most beautiful season of Mu Cang Chai, where the terraced fields - one of the symbols of the farming culture of the Northwest mountains - are covered in a splendid golden color.
Keo shared: "I often bring tourists here during the rice season. The green rice season is from August to September, and from mid-September to October, the rice begins to turn yellow and becomes an endless 'golden carpet'. This year, although after the storm, many people were worried about the weather, but in fact, Mu Cang Chai was not affected much. The road only had a few minor landslides and they were fixed, so the journey still went smoothly."

The poetic scenery captivates many tourists
Not only do you get to admire the most beautiful golden rice fields, Keo Nguyen also leads visitors through many other interesting activities. One of them is the experience of making green rice flakes in Tu Le, where visitors have the opportunity to join the locals in pounding green rice flakes - a famous specialty of this mountainous region.

In addition, Keo also suggests that visitors should not miss the opportunity to paraglide at Khau Pha Pass, one of the "four great mountain passes" of Vietnam. The feeling of floating in the sky, looking down at the terraced fields stretching below, is truly an unforgettable experience. This is also the ideal way to feel the majestic beauty of nature here.

Places not to be missed
With many years of experience as a tour guide, Keo Nguyen lists the highlights of Mu Cang Chai such as Mong Nguu Hill, Mam Xoi Hill - places that just by hearing the names, people can imagine picturesque images. In addition, visitors can also relax in the hot springs in It Thai village, visit Kim Noi bamboo forest and explore many other interesting check-in spots.
Candy did not forget to give advice on preparing for the trip: "Because this is the peak tourist season, visitors should book services such as homestays and bus stations in advance to avoid overload. You should choose carefully because there are bus stations that are often overcrowded. In particular, attractive destinations such as Mam Xoi hill or Kim Noi bamboo forest also have regulations on entrance fees and ancillary services, visitors should be mentally prepared."

Mu Cang Chai Tourism - Development Opportunities for Local People
Although Mu Cang Chai's nature is picturesque, Keo Nguyen also frankly shared about the limitations of tourism here. "Services in Mu Cang Chai have not yet developed synchronously. Homestays are expensive, but the quality is limited. Buses have not yet met the needs of tourists, and there is still the phenomenon of overcrowding. In addition, some check-in points spontaneously charge too many fees, causing a lot of inconvenience for tourists."
Coming to Mu Cang Chai is also an opportunity to explore indigenous culture.
Despite many difficulties, the female tour guide is always optimistic about the tourism development potential of this land. "People here do tourism seasonally, and only for a short period from August to October. Therefore, I hope that more people will know about Mu Cang Chai, helping people improve their income."
Mu Cang Chai with its brilliant golden rice season is not only a stop for those who love nature, but also an opportunity to explore the culture and people of the Northwest. With diverse experiences from sightseeing, enjoying to activities connecting with the indigenous people, the trip will be a memorable memory in the heart of every tourist.
